Sadly, their efforts appear to have not impressed, and the witches have moved on to necromancers. The two healers who did undertake the assignment have let slip that they accepted a curse of confidentiality — which incentivises them to keep quiet on what they witnessed — but that it was inhuman and a dreadful thing. They say it is better all around that the Bessis never called upon them again, because it would have been too dangerous to refuse the witches, but this would not have been an ordeal they would be keen to repeat.

The only abnormality has been the increase of necromancer visits — though Vannozza will disclaim she is furiously exchanging information to glean the mystery of the Bessis.
