I feel like this downtime arc is the best time to stage things so these two can finally get some Tinkering Bickering going on. Maybe one of them can be crafting and the other can give some Unsolicited Feedback and then they can set off on a debate/discussion/veering-between-the-two on the best way to infuse things with different properties.
