Yeah, maybe have him trying it in the background, and we can figure out if/when he can reap some success? I don't want to cut him off from trying, and it's obviously something that would occur to magic users. Maybe for now he can have trouble finding equivalent spells in his own magical lingo, or piecing together the magical components because the sorcerers here use a completely different system.
