There is only a 100% chance of that going some kind of way with Hermione. Just because he doesn't know magic doesn't mean he isn't the smartest person in every room, please test him.

Oh yeah, I have no fucking idea if they'll a. get along really well and become a menacing duo or b. have hissing cat stand-offs every time. But I'm willing to find out, because the quest for knowledge is important too, Five, you don't just get born with it.

It's a mystery! Five is a wildcard with his CR. He has accepted that he doesn't know a lot about magic, it's not at all frustrating. Just give him time (lol).

He has some feelings about wands though.

Everyone has feelings about wands.

But listen - listen. Hermione actually travelled through time to go to more classes when she was 14 so I feel like they can bond over this, if she opens up. She's a bit closed off right now.

Somehow that should come up! He has several more feelings about time travel. He spends half his time working out equations to go back to some point in time, and eventually he'll figure out how to go across dimensions and back home with math it will definitely happen. (After he finds Luther...) Doesn't know you can do this with magic, seems fake.

He also still has the broken time travel briefcase too if she ever wants to tinker with that. Question mark how that would occur, but just wait for him to leave it out and have an overreaction at whoever dares to look at it.

Oh my gosh that's a goal now. Tinker with the time travel suitcase.

It would make his life easier if it worked. Just immediately give it back and forget that you ever saw it... thanks.

Look we're all past the point of hiding our magic and/or time travel devices. What if she makes you a coffee for five minutes with the suitcase.

It's a wonder he hasn't chucked that thing into the sea in frustration at this point, might as well try! Coffee is an excellent bribe. The guy he knew who made it the best went home, he hasn't noticed but it's very sad for him.

He's still going to sip his coffee and watch her that entire five minutes.
