CHARACTER(S) & CANON(S): Zuko, Avatar the Last Airbender & Lily Evans, Harry Potter and the time we threw the author in a volcano.
WHO THEY ARE, THE ONE-LINE ELEVATOR PITCH:
Zuko: Once banished self-exiled crown prince walks a pitted road to redemption while somehow being penitent and exasperated at the same time.
Lily: The human embodiment of the oprah shrug gif tries her best to learn everything there is to know while not dying.
THEIR TARAVAST #TEAM:
Zuko: Macaluso, who he thinks is a giant tool
Lily: Vannozza who she thinks is intimidating but awe-inspiring.
WHAT ARE THEY GETTING UP TO THIS FINE OCTOBER?
Zuko: In the pre-dawn hours Zuko can be found in one of the smaller, less frequented public gardens meditating and training through sunrise. He keeps his bending to a minimum, but he’s reckless and easily caught in the act.
During the day he's often spotted at one of the better local teahouses (and might even pick up a part-time job serving bc he misses his uncle), reading through one of the palace's many libraries, or wandering the streets staking out fire-based magicians and watching them because wtf. He gets other powers beyond bending exist but it’s still creepy.
At night Zuko goes full Batman, you can find him on the rooftops of the city, snooping and climbing around, frowning at stuff.
Lily: When she's not off burying human remains with Wei Wuxian, or hiding in the house they inherited working on the project Wen Qing gave her, Lily can be spotted throughout Taravast.
During the day she's out and about trying to do her part as a socialite. Catch her at one of the many cafés in the city, stalking the Beacon, working her way through the magic districts, reading everything she can get her hands on, or otherwise people watching. If you’re paying attention you might even glimpse her pulling Eleven off somewhere, don’t worry about it, everything’s fine. Also, at some point in the month, she and Emilia will look into touring the magic schools as prospective students (see also: snooping).
In the evenings she’ll make an appearance at a party or two, though she’s far better at pretending to be drunk versus actually getting drunk than she was when she first arrived, she still doesn’t have the stones to try her hand at cards that frequently and will mostly spectate. Lily goes to bed early and is generally unreachable at night, anyone who knocks on her door will get a slight buzzing sound in their ears because thank you muffling charm, she won’t answer messages until the following morning.
After the group begins being watched heavily Lily will be relying on apparition to get around a lot more. She’ll offer to help others who need to move freely.

Zuko: He wouldn't. Even if it was the perfect crime, eventually his remorse would eat him alive.
Lily: Also not the murdering type. She’d turn herself in, in a heartbeat.
ii. What reasonable accessible thing or service can your character be bribed with?
Zuko: Company, lmao. He’s pretty unmoored after arriving here.
Lily: Information, and for the most part, she’s fine to share what she knows too.
iii. In a world where justice actually exists, how often would your character get slapped by noon?
Zuko: For past trasngressions - often. He knows he deserves it and he'll own that about himself.
Lily: She’s always the slapper, never the slapped.
THREE TYPES OF CR YOUR WANT FOR YOUR CHARACTER (BE SPECIFIC), GO:
Zuko: Someone to fill the Iroh-shaped void in his heart. He misses his uncle and feels a lot of shame about it, any wizened mentor-type figures would be amazing.
Sparring buddies! Even without using his bending Zuko is an extremely accomplished swordsman and now that Moran has told him he's going to be dueling his sister when he returns, he's training hard.
People who realize he doesn't talk much to talk at him. I live for a 'that's rough buddy' moment.
Seriously he needs all the cr, come at him.
Lily: A girl gang. Where is the girl gang? Let’s form a girl gang. Covens, mobs, let’s do it all.

GIRL GANG, whatever Allison's up to Lily wants in, she's got her back. ALSO the power thing is going to be amazing, echoing what ruxi said up there about Allison being terrifying, but it's going to be equally screwed because that's pretty much just the Imperius curse and omfg damn Allison.

That pat of his life is actually Xie Lian's absolute lowest point, but pulling himself out of it is basically why the antagonist in his story hates him and wants to bring him down. It's very much a 'you only need one person to be kind to you to regain hope' story.
