Hi! My name is Jack, and I'm here playing long running member of the Daddy Issues Squad, Wrathion (from the cursed fandom, Warcraft!)! I hear you like dragons and people who have problems with dragons or are friends with dragons. Good news! Wrathion is a dragon, and one with lots of bad traits. He's terrible at trusting people and at thinking he knows better, so he constantly comes across as untrustworthy himself. Silly mortals thinking so short term, he sees the big picture! Still, not to worry! He's got a long history of messing up and then running away from the consequences!

Speaking of running away: Wrathion turned up on the run from the Beastmaster and will be very on edge. The beastmaster saw him in his true shape, but for now he'll be walking around as a human who just happens to having glowing red eyes. He's paranoid, but people are out to get him so is it really paranoia?

In local terms, Wrathion is assigned to support Macaluso Spina and has the identity of a legal pioneer, diplomat and master orator, "whose impassioned five-minute improvised speech once convinced 4,000 men to turn their swords against their wretched commander."

Incredible news, no pressure then! Luckily, Wrathion fucking loves the sound of his own voice.

I am sure absolutely nothing will go wrong here.

Hello! I'm Rachel, we briefly met on the discord. I'm the one thinking all the weird fantasy questions aloud. I play Daenerys Targaryen and she's got her dragon, Drogon with her. So this will be an interesting collision of two worlds.

Figures all the dragons would show up after Daenerys did.

She's mother to ALL the dragons. She can't help if she brings them all to the yard.

Wonderful! I'm really excited for this arc between them! It might end up with her feeling protective of him (cause dragon and being hidden, she totally gets it). So there's a potential ally in her.

How old is she at her canonpoint? Age with warcraft dragons is a trial but he's technically considered the peer of someone who is 18/19 and I was going to make a mom joke but I realise they're probably pretty close in maturity-toward-adulthood terms.

She's about 16, but used to being patronized for her youth. She's also got all the fun marks that comes from taming a dragon, including lack of hair and burns. And yes, I was planning to make that same mom joke. He's going to get adopted.

VERY TECHNICALLY in human years he's younger than her, so it works, but in dragon years he's a young adult. He loudly reminds people about that dragon years smallprint when people make fun of him for being young, so he'd get not wanting to be patronised!

But he loves to be a little patronising, because he's defensive like that. Boosts himself up a little to feel better. It will pass, eventually....

He's very much like her dragons then. One of them gets a bit grandiose in behavior and aggressive, so she's used to this sort of personality. He's just the new Rhaegal for now, except with red eyes.

I play Five (TUA) here who sounds like he'd just... get along so well with him, and Marcos (the Gifted) who is just going to peg him for a mutant with unfortunate 'can't quite pass for human' traits. (He actually knew a mutant who could turn into a dragon, so he at least won't be surprised.)

Hey, I know NOTHING about TUA other than "Gerard Way wrote it, and I just think that's neat"! But passing as a mutant works, honestly. I'm very unclear if he's supposed to be able to hide the eye glow, since other races on Azeroth have glowing eyes for various reasons so it isn't exactly an instant tell in his canon, but I'm sticking with it staying because it's comical that he has to explain it away. He's just a magic user! That's all it is!

It's a fun show! Five is a 58 year-old time traveler who got stuck alone in the apocalypse for 45 years when he jumped too far in the future, then screwed up the math trying to get back and now looks 13 again. And he teleports all over because he can. He can be a little murder-y jerk who knows everything and I'm sorry for him. (Also Gerard Way wrote it and that is neat!)

Marcos will be sympathetic though. All that typical mutant baggage. He's human-passing but he's had a lot of buddies who weren't so... I mean, just pretend with him, he'll help cover for you.

Ah, hello! I believe we (very briefly) threaded during an Abraxas TDM, and it left me very intrigued with Wrathion's character. I'm happy to see him in the game.

Wrathion is chased for several days by the Beastmaster before he finds the city and is safe. I'm considering having him injured but too stubborn and paranoid to have trusted anyone to heal it so he's hiding it. Would Emilia be curious enough to help him if she saw him drop his facade for a second and flinch when someone bumps it or somesuch?

aaah yes I'd love this! Thank you for thinking of me. Emilia would absolutely be curious/concerned, and has some knowledge of herbal folk medicine/her witchy salves and pastes that could help him out if they end up stubborn-ing at each other.

Okay, I'll set that up! I was thinking set in the Merchant Square (what's left of it?) so that he can be bumped against by a random person while people watching. Obviously Emilia can have seen him about the Palace of the Doxe for familiarity and can lead him back there if needed during the thread!

Wrathion does canonly befriend a stubborn but kind bookworm who loves to challenge him and to try and make him do the right thing, so I think they'll get along swimmingly honestly-- but I am quite sure it will be a frustrating experience for Hermione!

Welcome, welcome! I am late but hello, I am Jesse and I play Sansa Stark from A Song of Ice and Fire (currently going by Alayne). I'm familiar with the Warcraft canon, at least up until the Warlords of Draenor expansion, so I know this will be a good time! I used to read the books a lot, but again I fell kinda behind around 2015 or so when I stopped playing. Excited for the dragon!

Warlords of Draenor sure was an expansion that happened! As you can see he had a glow up since then, and has at least learned some lessons. Not always the right ones, mind!

He'd have to do a lot to be as bad as Deathwing, so I won't judge him too harshly.

If that's the bar, he's doing very well!

It's remarkable how low the bar is for Sansa, too. Barring rampant cruelty for no reason, you're aight. Even snobs deserve nice things.

God that's horribly true, at least his timeway interfering nonsense was supposedly for a greater good. He's a saint compared to some ASOIAF-verse characters who shan't be named.
