DECEMBER ACTIVITY + BEACONS? BEACONS.

Hi guys! Happy December — we’ve made it, the end of 2021 is nigh. Here are the latest activity check (AC) results and admin notes, along with a predictable December announcement:

ACTIVITY

AC is mod-run, and you do not need to do anything unless your character is listed below. Please try to use character tags for posts and logs you tag into — it helps find your activity.

Regular activity requirements are one of the following during the AC month:

■ a network post
■ OR 10 text/network-style comments across at most two threads
■ OR five log comments across at most two threads

Activity can be carried out on either the game communities or character inboxes. Reclaimed characters must produce 50% more activity proofs (15 network comments or eight log comments or two network posts.)


Last month, I couldn't find sufficient activity for:

Drop a line or PM @ groundrules until 5 December if you’d like to reclaim your character, or if they have activity that hasn't been tracked! Apologies in advance, if the latter is true.

DECEMBER ACTIVITY

As the prophecy foretold, in recognition of the end-year bustle that consumes our hopes, dream and livers, there shall be no activity check for December. This excludes reclaimed characters, who will only have to produce regular AC, rather than the 1.5 x compensation. Go forth, make merry. Kick 2021 in the shin on its way out.


OTHER NOTES

■ As a brief overview, our only plot-linked event of the month launches on 2 December and also subs as a test drive meme. It lasts until 22 December. An aftermath post detailing the outcome of the event and the remainder of everyone’s stay in Arc II: Taravast will go up on 23 December.

■ The 23 December post will include an attempt to open the Taravast beacon. Any characters who leave the game in the 20 November – 22 December period will be sent home through the beacon.

■ Anyone who wishes to canon update the timeline point of their character can also do so through the beacon, which will glitch and return them back to Akhuras. Give a shout here by 15 December if you want your character to do this, please.

■ An OOC vote will go up somewhere in the 10-20 December period, to decide the destination of Arc III. This will likely include two options, along with a ‘travel’ mini-Arc that is less plot-intense but feeds into the impending Arc III storyline. Apologies for the wide date range.

■ Bear and badges will both turn up.

BEACON ME UP, SCOTTY

As mentioned, if you'd like to drop a character in late December or do a canon update for them, let me know here. They can be said to have gone through the Taravast beacon — if they return, the beacon can glitch and spit them out back from the later canon timeline.

Characters who do head home will not remember their time outside of their homeworld while there. They will retain all memories of their homeworld period and of their time in eastbound on return.

Q: how long are characters gone for in game-time? I know Eleven will experience 5 months on his end, but are canon update characters spat right back out or is there a delay? I'm good with anything; just want to know for Lily's sake ;)

Heya - you'll get more details on the beacon post, but the duration of a character's absence isn't affected by the time they spend in their home world. Not all the kinks have been ironed, but it should be a matter of minutes/hours.

Chapter 34 of the sequel in the series called Kingdom of the Cursed. Emilia has met one of the three main goddesses, located a divine objected she needed, and was a step away from getting all of her answers. She won't, though. :)
