Operation: Apprehend Rigarda

Hi there, me again. I apologize for posting so much in my first month, I promise this was not the plan until Anduin wound up with a political bombshell dropped on him basically from his first encounter with the Merchant...

Anduin recently reached out to the network in regards to his assignment to murder donna Rigarda. He did not want to admit to the full story (and his hesitation to do so) in case the Merchant was listening in, but he has reached the conclusion that it would be best for the next Ilia Doxe to reach their own conclusion about her themselves.

So Anduin is going to be disobeying his assignment and apprehending Rigarda to turn her in to the new Doxe.

Which!!! Is where I need your assistance! Karsa named a few potential helpers and/or you could connect with Anduin off of his post -- through either means or any besides, would anyone be interested in basically participating in the aforementioned plan with Anduin? :') Could be a small group, he will need assistance getting into the gentry palace where she is apparently guarded by 8 men.

Bonus: the Merchant is almost definitely Not Going To Be Happy about this...

Officially commenting Wrathion is happy to be muscle, though I think the only person there he knows reasonably well is Emilia so if they were interested Wrathion could be the connecting piece on that. Otherwise, he's just deadly and decorative both!

👀 Emilia can you help them talk their way in? Wrathion hasn't been here long enough for anyone to really know who he is and he only has secondhand info about Rigarda

If Wrathion asks her about Rigarda and co., Emilia can certainly give him information! Reading up on this in full, I feel like she would definitely have Reservations about the plan if she were told and it might need to be repackaged for her too alskj b u t.

Her role gave her influence with the gentry and maybe it can finally be put to good use by having her point him in the right direction, without maybe having all the details?

Wrathion would essentially package this as "Rigarda is one of the few apart from Bonaccorso Spina himself who knew exactly what was happening, she's a key witness and also a part of it all, do you want to let her escape? Do you want to risk the whole truth not coming out and Bonaccorso spinning some lie once we turn away while Rigarda flees?"

He'd specifically say they want to take her into the palace, and that all they need is help gaining access to her. They need a way in the door, then Anduin and Wrathion and Lan Wangji can handle things. But they need a way in because she'll be on high alert and well guarded! Obviously there are rebels all over and she expects this, after all.

I think her main concern would've been that Rigarda was the one connected to supplying the weapons that keep the undead from invading Taravast, and not wanting to add more chaos to the heap. But! While I don't think she'd have time to actively be part of the plot (my tagging has been too slow this month and I don't want to hold anyone up!!!) I can see her helping/making sure they are not harmed so they can gain access. She knows how to get some guards out of the way. >_>

Hey! The holidays got away from me -- but do you want me to spam Emilia's inbox so we can have a quick, brief discussion between them and then handwave that whatever help she offered happened? Or is it too late now and you'd rather skip the inbox bit too and assume it all happened?

No worries! They got away from me, too. December was really a wash on the RP front — I think at this point it might be better to handwave if that works for you? With the interlude and new arc coming up, I'm mostly looking to start fresh, and look forward to them touching base again.

Okay! You can safely assume he told her the point was to get Rigarda out alive so she could offer up all she knows, so that Macaluso can learn it then make his own informed decisions. He doesn't approve of Rigarda's tactic but understands what it happened and all.

Yes, help them Emilia!!! Anduin is just as/even newer than Wrathion lmao, he's most definitely a nobody, though he can PLAY AT being a random noble very well (considering, yk. he IS a king...)

BUT she and Wanji are definitely way more established here than either of them, and logically this will prove useful in getting them TO SOME EXTENT???

Then yk Anduin has healing powers in case everything goes to shit :')

Like I said to Jack, I think if Emilia were told everything she'd definitely have Reservations, but if this were pitched to her similar to Lan Wangji (especially the bit about needing to right a wrong bc that's Huge with her) maybe she can point them in the right direction or give them some key information? Her role/influence with the gentry should help someone tbqh.
