Hi everyone! eastbound stirred from undeath as roughly the world's tiniest game a year ago, and it's all down to everyone's enthusiasm, sleuthing and morbid sense of humour that it's still alive, sometimes braying and kicking.

FORTUNE FAVOURS THE DEAD


A bevy of aggressive, loud and gregarious fortune tellers has inundated Ke-Waihu, seeking to exercise their... gifts for coin before departing by sea. To spread the word, they hand out a few free, unsolicited fortunes to hapless bystanders:

i. List your character(s), one per comment, and one or more funny, outlandish or depressing fortunes they've been told ( 'You will marry a six-headed frog by midnight,' 'A stubborn infant will bring your end with a toothpick'... )

ii. Comment around to help with, sympathise, or... point and laugh at everyone else's (mis)fortune. Spam vigorously.

iii. Up to you & your thread partner, if you want to make these conversations game canon and ice break some CR!

[ He answers this with a laugh as he approaches and promptly plops down in his soulmate's lap with a grin. ]

[Much better. Much, MUCH better. Zishu sighs happily and wraps himself around Kexing, nuzzling and kissing at random.]

Perfect.

[ A happy sigh escapes under the flurry of kisses and nuzzles and he snuggles in. ]

...Almost perfect.

What's missing? [He whispers into Kexing's ear.] Tell me.

[flirtatiousdancer]

[ He strokes gentle fingers over his love's chest, teasing at those robes as he leans against his beloved. ]

Your complete health and strength.

[eternallywandering]

[Zishu is surprised into a soft smile and he cradles Kexing against him. His lips find his lover's forehead and he lingers there.]

You are too good for me.

[flirtatiousdancer]

[ His eyes flutter closed as he enjoys the sweetness and sighs softly. This is what he loves best. ]

I love my A-Xu.

[eternallywandering]

[He loves it too. Kexing seems to melt against him and he has no idea where he ends and his beloved begins.]

I love you too. [Zishu flushes and murmurs:] I hope you get your wish.

[ He likes melting against his soulmate~ And knowing he's safe and loved. He smiles and lifts his head to nuzzle their noses together. ]

I will. You're working hard to heal now.

[eternallywandering]

[Zishu leans back to make himself a more comfortable place to relax, his hands moving over Kexing's back. He gives Kexing a small, adoring smile and sneaks a kiss to his lips.]

My soul has healed.

[flirtatiousdancer]

[ Zishu is the best place to rest. Always. Kexing hums, enjoying those wandering hands and smiles into the kiss. ]

Now the rest of you can catch up!

[Kexing works too hard and this is an excuse to pamper him a little. Zishu wishes he could give his beloved palaces and a future without worry, but that isn't in the cards yet.]

I will catch up. Some of the damage was there before the nails. I must contend with that too.

[ Working hard so his mind stays occupied. Stays sane. Only when he's with Zishu can he slow without worrying about fracturing apart. He doesn't care about living in palaces. Anywhere with Zishu is home. ]

[That precious mind is under so much pressure - and has been for years. Zishu wants to heal the fractures and undo the damage the Ghost Valley - and Zhao Jing - caused his Lao Wen. One day, his Kexing will be free. Free to laugh, to smile, to relax without worry. Then they will truly be home.]

Who says you're not? [He climbs over his beloved.]

[flirtatiousdancer]

[ Zishu does more for Kexing than he might think!

Kexing laughs in surprise and falls back, happy to be his beloved's cushion. ]

Am I?

[eternallywandering]

By existing... By loving me... Yes. You are healing me. [He straddles those enticing hips and smiles.] Without you, I would have nothing; I would be nothing.

[flirtatiousdancer]

[ He smiles softly up at his beloved and rests his hands on Zishu's hips. ]

We'd be dead without the other. I much prefer living with you.

[Keeping Kexing like this, he knows he is safe. No one can touch him.

Except for him.]
