i am RIGHT HERE to spearhead the campaign to convince him that not all magic = evil.

He's aware not all magic is bad, bad things just seem to happen when he is involved and thus he avoids it as much as possible.

This theory needs to be explored in an empirical way. He needs good magic influences.

How about he just focus on his doctor skills. (But he would be curious about the differences in the magic of her world)
