he's pretty good with a sword too, and also at some point he had to rule an empire in his nephew's stead so he's pretty good with the 'whatever i'll do it myself' if needed.

Vanessa is no fighter beyond that of a standard human woman who will do anything to stay alive (she'll bite!). She can fire a gun, but only if she's gotta. Better to just do the violence with psychic magic instead.
