IT'S FOR THE GREATER GOOD.

Wrathion basically suggested a long con where they work both Minaras and Eidris by convincing each side the other is going to donate to the Mouse House and it'll be embarrassing if they don't! Everyone will Talk about how they're being Outdone by the Other Side who is So Much Better! They keep it going until one actually breaks, at which point it becomes less con and more Reality They Can Point At.

Okay, but that's not a con, that's using the hubris of the rich against them. That's totally cool.
