River! I'm in the group of Whovians that really loves River.

I think Pike would sort of get where River's coming from.

She does have her reasons, good or not, and some instincts run deep.

I don't know if you're audio familiar, but I love how well they show all those sides of her. Alex Kingston is wonderful on television, of course, but there's something especially incredible about her audio work, too.

Not too much with River's Audios, I mostly listened to the Galifrey ones. I really should get into those since these few seasons of DW were not my favorite.

I've primarily listened to River, Benny, and Missy, with a side of Eight's and Jack's when I could afford them. I also picked up Alex Kingston's original audio from Big Finish. And I'll be totally honest, audio canon is my favorite part of canon. My two favorite characters from Doctor Who are River Song and Bernice Summerfield. And I did love River from the show (she's the reason I got into Doctor Who in the first place) but the audios made me love her even more.

I guess I'm saying, if you like the medium, they are definitely worth checking out, in my opinion.
