Absolutely! and I agree, there's a lot left unexplored, and implications left hanging. From what I can tell it's the same with the wizarding world, and it's really neat to see people digging into that on their own terms.
Slick's still got his naïve ten-years-old-going-on-twenty rage, unfortunately. From the confusing snarl that is TCW canon, it seems like his first deployment was at Geonosis, which left him so disillusioned that he was actively passing intel to the Separatists only a couple months after that.
So, everything's very new and raw for him, and he's--well. He's had no time to form anything like a coherent philosophy beyond anger at the people in power, whoever that might happen to be.
