Hello to you all! I'm Spider, and I'm bringing in Sergeant Slick from Star Wars: The Clone Wars! He's been having a bit of a time lately.

Slick is a clone trooper, and an anomaly: he's come to the belief that he and all his double speed-aging, made-to-order brothers are brainwashed and enslaved by the Republic and the Jedi, and started making decisions accordingly.



This did not work out the way he wanted it to, obviously.

He's coming in with nothing apart from the armor (and concussion) seen in the gif above. The locals aren't too fond of that white plate, because it's a little too Unhalad-y. He's hiding most of it and stolen some local clothes to conceal the rest, but he only got away with so much of that before being intecepted by Lee Chang!

He's being brought to the farmhouse, and from there... we'll see! He's going to be very out of his element here. Technically he has the freedom he wanted, but the Evil Republic that motivated him isn't here.

On the network, he's been assigned the fishing-related username what a load of pollocks.

As for me, I'm available on Plurk at PaleAntiquarian, and on Discord at CellarSpider#9984. I'm in a PhD program and may be a little overwhelmed by work sometimes, but I will endeavor to always be available by either method!

I hear you also played SWTOR? I'm fascinated to see what these two end up making of each other lol. As you can see, I'm playing the Sith Inquisitor PC (circa end of Shadow of Revan, light V lol). Kind of figure that Arche might at least recognize the general vibe of Slick's armor, since it's hilariously managed to not change too much in a few thousand years...

And yes! I play Darth Jadus. I had him in games for about three years, though presently I'm sticking to PSLs. I also play an Ascendancy sleeper agent Cipher Nine, a laid back alignment-neutral Wrath, and a Dark I or II-ish Pureblood Inquisitor who really would Rather Not with all this uncomfortable destiny business.

And yeah, even though he's lost his helmet, the plates are... kind of a match for either Republic or Imperial trooper, tbh. And the Fett family has apparently looked pretty similar for about three and a half thousand years. Or at least, as close as the TOR character models allow.

Slick obviously isn't fond of people with the shiny glowsticks and mind powers, though he did cut a deal with Asaj Ventress as part of his escape attempt. That ended up going terribly, but honestly I don't think he ever realized he was being played there. Things could get interesting here!

Oh absolutely. This guy has a big case of 10-years-old-going-on-20-just-learned-what-politics-is-and-wants-to-fight-it RAGE, and no idea what to do with it.

It's quite alright! Both of them can be lil shits at each other, in their own ways. And Five can totally take the double-speed aging if he wants, Slick's not fond of it. He can probably reach higher shelves, though :P

I'm bringing in Regulus Black from the Harry Potter series. He's still a bit snobby against non-magical people, but he's working on it. It would be interesting to see how Reg and Slick get along. Maybe it'll work, maybe not, but I'm excited to see!

Regulus can understand rebelling against something you think is morally wrong. Maybe they can find that common ground?

They certainly could! Though if he finds out about house-elves, things might get dicey--Slick's been 100% focused on his own problems with being enslaved by the powerful magical people of his own canon, but now that the Jedi aren't here? We'll find out if he's got some moral consistency on that or not. The show immediately dumped him from the plot, so that unfortunately got left unexplored.

Regulus is very against the mistreatment of house-elves, like, he died to save his house-elf more pain. So Slick will find no defender of the magical community's treatment of house-elves in Regulus.

There are so many unexplored characters in SW.

Absolutely! and I agree, there's a lot left unexplored, and implications left hanging. From what I can tell it's the same with the wizarding world, and it's really neat to see people digging into that on their own terms.

Slick's still got his naïve ten-years-old-going-on-twenty rage, unfortunately. From the confusing snarl that is TCW canon, it seems like his first deployment was at Geonosis, which left him so disillusioned that he was actively passing intel to the Separatists only a couple months after that.

So, everything's very new and raw for him, and he's--well. He's had no time to form anything like a coherent philosophy beyond anger at the people in power, whoever that might happen to be.

Hi, I'm Kiki, with two different Chinese fantasy boys, this one here who is older, master of Gemini (yes, actual Western Gemini) and his power is that he can know animal languages and also one of the people who make money for the lot.

The the other one is Lan Sizhui, the good adopted son of Lan Wangji, who is still somewhat fresh and adjusting. And also tends to have a good hand at people who are constantly angry.
