Hey guys — happy Friday.

Eastbound typically operates in a fantasy/horror/mystery pocket that's pretty divorced from real life, but I'm sensitive that the recent, widely broadcast tragedy of the Titan submersible came at a time when we're immersed in a Salem-time travel-sunken arc that's featured extensive underwater play, corpses missing from casket-ships and undead rising from the waters.

Some resonance with real life events and triggers is inevitable in fiction generally and horror specifically, but in this case, the timing and similarity in imagery are both unintentional and strong.

I want to be respectful of the fact that some people might be rattled and uncomfortable engaging with Arc VI, in light of everything. With that in mind, a couple of things:

— the idea was to finalise Arc VI by the end of July/early August. However, if a group of five+ players feels uncomfortable finishing Arc VI at all, we'll figure out an opt out to break their characters out of the Arc VI time loop and for them do something else in a separate environment while the rest of the Arc plays out.

— if you received a clue that you no longer feel comfortable communicating or engaging with in light of recent events, please comment below, and the information will be redistributed.

— the water-death magic connection was built into the premise of Arc VI. As some characters have unearthed in the recent events, the 'stolen' casket-ships contain the dead who later turned up in the waves of undead attacks, years later. I can confirm that the next time loop takes everyone back another two years in time, when there are fewer undead coming from the waters, but I appreciate this might still ring too close to home for several of you. Don't hesitate to use the opt-out option if so.

Leaving this open for your feedback on the topic until 23:59 London time on 26 July — with all comments screened. Thanks, all.
