PLAYER: Lone Sheep (aka Sheep) OPEN TO PLURK/DISCORD FRIENDING FOR RP? Yep! lonesheep WHERE DO ZOMBIES FIND YOU DURING THE APOCALYPSE? 100% sitting in traffic. I'll die how I lived.
CHARACTER(S) & CANON(S): Five Hargreeves (Umbrella Academy) and Marcos Diaz (the Gifted) WHO THEY ARE, THE ONE-LINE ELEVATOR PITCH: Five is a murder rascal excelling at impactful choicemaking. Marcos is an aspiring family man who can light up a room. (tyvm Chel for some words)
WHAT ARE THEY UP TO NOWADAYS? PLOTS THEY NEED HELP WITH? Five had a rocky October, but things are shockingly not end-the-world bad right now. After breaking the mirror holding Anurr's power, bringing minor doom to Taravast, and losing his sanity for a minute, he ended up getting a nice ego boost when people asked for his help. Currently helping(!) Eleven and Shen Qingqiu escape certain death, and he teleported a drugged up kid from Bonaccorso's weird employment with the Doctor and Slick. He also will be making a stop in Sa-Hareth and maybe pretend to be an air bender idk. It's a whole thing with a zombie finger. (In the meantime Mingyu straightened his memories out, and he got a way to suck out some of the anguish he absorbed from his curse via mirror shards. He's doing Great and was right all along.) Probably needs an intervention at some point...
Marcos is having a great time. He was triggered by the idea that they'll start going after magic-users (because to him that's just another word for mutants, sorry guys.) He's focusing on what he knows, and that's helping shelter refugees, so... he's Trying. He's still pretty new to this whole thing, but he's starting to realize they need to get organized and will be pushing for that. Also he's hoping to use his influence with the Attaryl witches to overhear any major shifts in plans, because he fully expects things to escalate.
ICE BREAKER ROUNDS: i. Black Friday sales hit and the last item on your character's shopping list is getting swarmed by the masses. How do they secure the goods? Five: Crowds freak him out, and he doesn't understand money or shopping for unnecessary items, why did you send him... If he absolutely thought it was needed, he would teleport right in the middle of them to grab it. If they all jump back from seeing that, even better. Marcos: He would try to be polite and worm his way through, maybe bringing up his baby daughter at a choice moment if he's really got his heart set on something for her. If he doesn't get it, he'll just make her one instead.
ii. Your character has been stranded on a long journey with a wailing baby whose lung capacity predicts a great future in the musical arts. Everyone is staring. How do they assert dominance? Five: He forgot how much noise people make?? He'll do his old man glare from across the room, and be ready to verbally eviscerate anyone in the vicinity if they're involved or not. Marcos: He would just think about his baby girl so he wouldn't even try. Lots of sad eye contact and maybe introducing himself so he can pick their brains on how to be a parent. Compliment the kid's healthy lungs...
iii. What hipster coffee order would your character put in, if they even knew what coffe is? Five: Black coffee. At least one pot. Possibly spiked... he has days. Also if your character doesn't know what coffee is, he's the one to educate you. Marcos: He'll take it any way he can get, but it's a bonus if it isn't instant. No cream or sugar. Anything he can warm up that has caffeine.
THREE TYPES OF CR YOUR WANT FOR YOUR CHARACTER (BE SPECIFIC): Five: People who can challenge him, people who are as paranoid as he is, people who either indulge in his bad habits or want to teach him magic. (If he could learn how to control his curse to be helpful that would be great for him.) Note that anyone that has some relationship with his family will probably get his interest at some point. Marcos: He's so new, so everything. People he can bond with over powers, people who want to take charge of their situation, people who have families that they take care of... that he can cry on and hit up for advice.
WHAT CAN YOUR CHARACTER UNIQUELY AND PG-13-INGLY OFFER? Five: His teleportation powers are usually what people tap him for. Someday he will use time travel to reverse a death but you know-! Oldman-kid needs more practice. He's also a pretty great murder machine, even if he feels awkward about it sometimes. Marcos: He's a mutant with light/heat powers, so he's got a flashlight for anyone who needs one. Also has plenty of experience smuggling mutants and other things. And it should be noted that his girlfriend is a badass.
She ought to apologize to Five for slapping him and yelling in his face. Things were a wee bit too chaotic at the time for any such manners. Not-at-all sucking up because of how useful/scary that teleportation is.
Yes please apologize to this socially stunted man who is still very unsure how much he contributed to that chaos. Everyone is suddenly nicer to him since then what is going on?? The opposite should be happening, feels weird.
They're a strange bunch, it's true. But which of them aren't fuck ups at some point in their own canons??? Gotta exercise that empathy. Or at least that manipulating-because-you-are-useful-mah-boi...athy.
Oh he will be openly suspicious about it. Might just tolerate more for some unimportant reasons. Obviously must want something, he’s not that great of company. (And yet! His ego remains.)
It will be interesting to see how much she's willing to tolerate to get what she wants, although her non-abrasive approach should keep him from being too prickly right away.
He's in a weird place mentally after that whole rock bottom thing, so it's a good opportunity to catch him off guard. Just you know. Be prepared for a lot of squinting.
You know I'm 100% up for anything Sansa related, we'll make it happen!
Sansa has only been here for one whole day, give her time before Five ratchets up her paranoia more than it already is... and then listen to him talk about his missing family members it'll be fine.
He won't charge for the first cup. After he gets him hooked rates increase... (lol I'm just kidding what is money?? just remember this nice thing he did getting you addicted)
AND probably yes let him show off how fine he is now. It all worked out and he was right about the mirror, see. Just please forget all that stuff he said in the tower, it was obviously the stress getting to him.
Someone has to keep Eleven on his toes. Nobody tell Five human relationships can't be fixed if he does a single favor.
Yes more of this! Marcos isn't going to be happy to hear about this arrest business either, but it's also so relatable... don't grow up to have all of the problems he does, Eleven.
