Oh hey, mental breakdown over being stuck in a war? Missing your friends? That's relatable! Really, really relatable. Slick has some formal training on dealing with combat stress, but also he was going through that whole deal in canon as well. They can compare notes. They can compare notes on Lily being an awesome friend, and if the whole timeline thing comes up, Slick might finally be forced to acknowledge it's real!

Also, the potions thing! Slick can help secure supplies, he was getting into the black market before Taravast went sideways, so he could figure out how to get his hands on materials if he's got the funds for it. Just as long as Hermione teaches him about this stuff, because excuse him were magic potions an option this whole time why did nobody tell him
