Okay, one last question. Drogon in ADWD ended up building a lair in the Dothraki Sea. Since he was so cooped up last location, can he find a spot he likes here and just make his lair (complete with bones and whatever else)?

Yes, sure, he can nest up.

Just realised, though: we'll need to do something about Drogon. He can't sit on Ellethia land or fly low on it longer than 15 minutes, or he starts decomposing and rebirthing.

So I've got two options for you:
a) he can fly on the higher side (Dany's shoulder level or higher is perfectly fine) + never perch on land

b) we suit the little homie up.

( My bad, by the way: you basically asked about this in the above. I was thinking purely in terms of the sunrise-sundown cycle that animals suffer, from which Drogon will be spared. But he'll technically still be exposed in the same way humans are. )

Omg. I'm so tempted by the idea of suiting him up. I don't think that would really be possible and would result in a lot of burns/deaths. Him flying higher than usual is probably the best idea. Are there any ruins high enough that he could perch on/build his lair?

Oh, definitely, and there are all the bridges.

We could take the easy route of saying he gets a coveted magical collar that renders him immune, but flying on the higher side is probably easier. Enam can tell Daenerys to pass on the word.

It's a nice gesture, but I do enjoy making things a challenge for Drogon and Dany. Thanks. I'll update my plotting post.

Drogon is not that good a boi and I genuinely wish he was just for that image.
