sweating hard about the fact that APPARENTLY THIS WHOLE TRIP IS ANDUIN'S FAULT... this is what happens when you try to get a pacifist to commit a murder okay that's all I am gonna say.

TROUBLE AT SEA:
Anduin is a Priest of the Light though apparently this will do nothing to ward away the Evil Mermaids. It WILL however allow him to do things like shield himself/people nearby from danger, yank anyone who might have wound up in the water to safety, and heal anyone who needs it.

He is unfortunately a very kind and caring person so he would 100% be roped into aiding any undead visitors that come onto the boat, and he would possibly even voluntarily introduce himself to a frightened and helpless stranger because that's Just Who He Is. (Someone, please stop him...)

ELLETHIA-ALLAYAR:
ALRIGHT SO Anduin can't help but be more than a little bit nosy. Why did the Merchant insist they come here? He's gonna want to have a bit of an exploration about the place, looking through the debris of the city feeling generally Uncomfortable about all of this.

He is also free for more healing or rescuing, if anyone needs help with the mermaids while he is out and about in the city!

ELLETHIA-HAMSOUR:
This whole lighthouse thing is gonna make Anduing even MORE Uncomfortable, I think largely because he will be able to feel the pull of it and he's very cognizant of Weird Mind Influences. He'll be able to feel some level of obsession and see it in others and that is 100% no good in his books.

He WILL be able to help people DISPELL the pull of the lighthouse -- for 30 minutes :') BUT some time is better than no time at all, right? RIGHT???

Dany would definitely try to stop him in trying to help the undead. I'd also love it if he could dispell the lighthouse pull for her, even if a short while. These two are long overdue for a meeting.

They ARE overdue for a meeting!! I would definitely be up for either scenario! I like the idea of him being able to help her dispel the lighthouse pull for her, he doesn't know what is causing it but he doesn't trust anything that causes you to do anything you don't want to.

On the other hand, he is 100% a bleeding heart and he will need people to slap sense into him so that he stops trying to save dead people on the boats too, sweats

We could easily do both as there will be time between those parts of the story. That would let Dany get to know him and realize he might be able to help her with the paranoia.

And she gets that bleeding heart thing. They're way too alike in that. She just recognizes undead life suckers.

Anduin really SHOULD recognize the undead, all things considered, but if they aren't grey and dead-looking and if they're asking him for help, he won't be able to stop himself...

I'd definitely be down for both!! Maybe he can get to use some of his powers in their first meeting so that she'd know he'd be able to help with that regard and seek him out in the group again?

Yeah that would be a great idea. She knows there are magic users, but she doesn't know all of them.

he can also punch undead off your boats if needed, but know he will absolutely lose his candle because I don't make the rules, and Xie Lian is literally that unlucky.

He would 100% jump to his defense in both instances, SIR YOU ARE NOT LOOKING WELL?!? Also I really enjoy the idea of saving Anduin from being a do-gooder only to then need saving/protecting himself HAHA

he will tell you he doesn't feel pain. It's not exactly true, he's just felt so much of it in his life it doesn't really register anymore.

So it seems like Lily and Anduin are part of a very small contingent of people not about to lose their shit over the lighthouse, I'd love to figure out some way to team up.

You know, as long as she doesn't find out it's his fault that horrible woman Rigarda never saw justice ;)

AND LETS DO SOMETHING NEW maybe for the boat part bc that seems the most exciting, and a good place for them both to do a little magic together? he cannot re-light his own candle but he can levitate himself/other people above the water and do a number of very fancy healing/shielding spells with THE LIGHT
