APRIL CR MEME
Salutations! Just a few notes before the main event:
- ■ we're a tighter crew than originally anticipated for April, following some hiatuses, so we'll be adjusting this month's calendar timeline. We'll have a check-in below if anyone wants follow-up, cues or clues, or has questions about what they discovered in the latest & greatest. We'll have a think about a second check-in in late April.
■ Don't forget your NPC threads, if you signed up for one! Generally, please share any interesting discoveries that have emerged from them or from plot rolls with the entire group — a creepy network post a day keeps the... doctor away and gets everyone killed.
■ Check out the latest character housing arrangements!
■ In case you've missed it: PM if you'd like a(nother) invite to the game discord server. Invites typically go out when you join, but dreamwidth notifications aren't always friends.
And now:

Also can confirm DRAGON SHRINE WAS A JOKE. The problem is Wrathion values information most but because the reward is from Weisi he'd be wary about asking for something that draws too much attention. Is there any kind of library or records room he can ask for access to so the specific direction of his nosiness is indirect? Or a village elder he can "learn from" about their Fascinating Traditions (tm)? He really wants to know about those antler folk in the volcano and their connection to the Beastmaster/ power in the volcano/ sacrifices etc. Or tbh any other mystery bothering him that's just top of the list, but directly asking Weisi feels dangerous.

Re: antler folks — they haven't heard or seen these guys, but note that the villagers don't like to go inside the volcano, so this might be a case of their lack of exposure rather than the antler people being new apparitions.

ANYWAY I guess his topics of interest are like, undead Lords (Beastmaster and Huntress currently, and at the point this happens he wouldn't know about the shrines/water necessarily I think? But if there's any overlap timewise, also the White Wanderer dude who seems capable of warding off their power) and preventing child kidnappings, though that's a bit tied up.
For an easier mode thing he's also just generally interested in local materials (or information on them) he can potentially use to add to his nerd crafting (broadly, enchanting/blacksmithing/jewelcrafting/tailoring) supply catalogue, because one day might need to craft in a hurry and he's not really experienced too much in local materials and their properties or how local magic behaves. Better to stock up and practice before it gets urgent.

— Beastmaster: he is a patron of the village, formerly a huntsman. They can confirm the information in Beitang Moran's post, that the Beastmaster was previously known as Hyang-Won. He visits periodically and shares meats and hunt with them. They believe his influence is part of why there are limited animal attacks against the village. He also receives yearly tribute from Ke-Waihu and Ke-Waiar, but this transfer is peaceful.
— Huntress: they don't know who Wrathion is talking about.
— not many people recall the white wanderer, as he didn't draw attention to himself. Those who do remember he originated from the west and was generally unimpressed with what he found to be the excess zealotry of Ke-Sanwon's villages. He was not a religious man, but some question whether the physical frailty and sickness he displayed didn't perhaps sour his spirit towards the beauty of the world.
— there are definitely jewellery forges and standard forges, and Wrathion is welcome to get in touch and try to barter for materials. But he'll have to offer something in return. Alternatively, he can try to scavenge the volcano/mountain. Anything you can reasonably assume he found in the forest, go for it.

Also Wrathion is happy to work in the forges exchange for materials for the like... very short amount of time he is still in the village.
