arc iv: the vote

Hey guys! Arc III is set to wrap up with the finale log of 18 May (no time like the present to get your last-minute plotting in), after which the party will scuttle away on a four-six week journey arc themed around... pirates and the haunted seas.

Some accommodations are already in mind (Viktor's balance, Kaneki's... dietary habits), but drop a line if your character also needs special arrangements while at sea.

After that, the group moves into Arc IV, come early/mid-July — choose their destination between the two options below.

This is an out-of-character poll, with one vote per player — be sure to cast yours by 23:59 GMT on 29 May.

ARC IV OPTIONS

A TALE OF TWO CITIES

Half of an aerial steampunk city rises up during daytime, locking the other half in the nether depths. They swap places at night. The two city halves only meet for less than an hour at sunrise and sunset, each of their people claiming the other population is not human. The Merchant hears a beacon thrives, but neither city has seen it.

SCOPE: infiltration, mystery, exploration, sky whales, clockwork robots, dragon riding for daily transport, formal assignments to one of the ‘cities.'

’HIGHLIGHTS’: urban landscape, skirmishes, mystery, airships, limited resources, the undead, at least one undead liege. A decent diplomats’ and dragon riding academy.
THE SUN IN SPLENDOUR

For years, rival factions of scholars, militia, priests and assassins have travelled to scour a deathly desert city shrouded in mirages and strange fever spells. They contend for an elusive mythical token, last seen in the citadel’s haunted desert outskirts, and believed able to grant the greatest wish of the wo/man who claims it. Work is as much to make and prevent others from progress — and try to avoid releasing greater forces during your tomb raids.

SCOPE: competitive searches, curse magic, illusions, a great deal of scouting in the sand.

’HIGHLIGHTS’: desert ambiance, righteous (?) battle, mummies, the undead, a scorpion king, archaeology, sand worms.
