Sound the drums, head on to war — seized citadel Alem has already been there for the lion's share of a year.

Under the Scavengers' guidance, the four sand worms the party captured gently graze underground corridors allowing the group to reach halfway up Mount Attevar. From there, they quickly infiltrate Alem through a bustling trade route.

Young King Deimar strikes a simple bargain: serve Alem in its bitter last days until inevitable downfall, and the citadel will grant access to its Beacon before the final evacuation is completed.

Sounds simple enough. Now, survive it.

Characters arrive today, with our first proper taste of event chaos due on 27-28 January. Get your character settled in, check out the setting and their assignment, and strike some CR:

i'm tempted for the shield option, or like just having a 'normal' person to talk to. fudgey linked me to kamala and wanda talking about pietro, so i'm sure he can show up and it'll be disappointing to know that he doesn't live to the hype of wanda's twin 😔 (UNLESS..he does)

It'll happen! Poor Lorna would probably love to find out she has family that isn't Magneto aha... Marcos is naturally sympathetic to people like him and his sister though, he'd be looking out for them.

Thanks he tried real hard to be a dad. :( Lorna broke up with him while she was pregnant and he only got to hold his daughter like three times. Watch them completely glaze over these facts. They're together now and they were never on the opposite sides of anything!

listen, i am very intrigued by where their cr is going. i don't know if they'll be friends or cross the line to enemies but i am here to see where it flows. dry and honest beats chipper platitudes anyway.

I don't know how I don't know when but I want to make sure these two do a meet this arc.

Area man Supports Powered Youth and will inevitably immediately want to set Kamala up on a friend date with America in the event they make it home so he might be useful later down the line to have a chat with about powers and power-related fears and to pass along a pep talk that culminates in the heavy suggestion that if anybody messes with her dr. strange will PERSONALLY make it his problem

okay swinging back around to what prompted me to go on a soul description tangent and then immediately disappear for a full day hahaha

South tower teammates! Cue Stephen Strange staring into the abyss why are there so many child soldiers but!! They could probably combine powersets well, things like luring the dragon close enough for her to chomp/maul while he gears up a close range big damage spell to send it away with afterwards, or if her transformation back into human form is relatively quick he could also catch her midair to save her from a fall if she wants to yeet herself at the dragon to fight close up.

He too has an attitude and has no qualms being rude to The Youths but in spite of himself also has a soft spot for powered teens just trying their best so there will probably be some under wing taking! Maybe if she does accidentally hurt the home team he can do a little pep talk and generally be slightly more invested in her wellbeing than he is anyone else on the tower's

MARCOS I know that we have a thing going at the inn that I do want to try to continue, I will hopefully not be so slow starting next week after the concert sweats. I see potential for the two of them though, Marcos with his powers that involve heat and light, Anduin being a PRIEST of the Light.

ALSO you mentioned here that Marcos has an infant back home and people with Parent Problems hitting a spot for him. Anduin lost his mother when HE was an infant, and he’s always had a rocky relationship with his with his father. He was basically raised by everyone else but his parents. I can see them gravitating towards each other/bonding for these reasons also.

he will not complain about that though, he never really knew his mom ;; he wears her locket to "remember" her by but she was killed in an attack when he was an infant and tl;dr... that would be kind of nice.......
