And a manbun is just an atrocious haircut thing where guys with longish hair put it up in a little bun at the back of their heads. Stupid fashion trend.

Unless you tend to devour souls or bodies in lovemaking, hardly see how that's brave when I see you.

Oh? This sounds like it wouldn't hold up to much, or what I do when washing up. Queues and braids are far more effective. Easier under helmets when needed, or hats for those flirting with those fashions.

No, just haven't really done that with anyone in awhile.

I never got there but I was close. Thankfully, I just shoved it all under a cap before I cut it.

I think cutting it worked better for me.

People have their times where they do and times where they don't. Feeling uncertain of your performance? I'd hardly hold it against you. Only fools and the cruel ever do.

Cutting takes out all the effort, I did as much once, when I was younger. These days it's more fun to have something for people to hold onto if they like, in certain circumstances.

( read: also, it means he doesn't have to worry about cutting it as often, keeping his facial hair trimmed is enough when he's on the move as much as he is. who'd he 'clean up' for? )

Goes both ways, doesn't it? If you're in a fight, someone can grab it too, swing you around, tear it out.

( because he certainly could break out of a hold like that, or crush a wrist or fingers seeking to hold his hair off all things hostage. or shift to get away, bound in his clothing, but still. an option! )

Cutting off the hair just seems easier to me. Get it gone and take away a shortcut for the other person.

Or braid it up and keep it close to the head, really, and still get the benefit of having enough hair for someone to get a nice hold on when you prefer for someone to have the option.

( he's just here going, not once has he had anyone go for his hair in a battle. because they're all in armour and trying to survive in vastly different circumstances. )

You often suffered this hair grabbing phenomena?

Never let a fight go on long enough for someone to get close to me to grab my hair.

Never did the braid thing either.

Neither has anyone I know, so I'm not sure it's a real fear so much as a story told to make it sound fearful.

Really? I normally don't bother, it's more fun to braid someone else's hair than my own, but it has its uses.

No clue how to braid hair either. I was in the military and we had to keep it short.

After that, I didn't wanna bother with anything that trivial.

Ooh, trivial, never tell that to the poor child asking for braiding, or the lovely woman, or man, giving you bedroom eyes because it's all long locks and difficult sleeping without it tamed in one way or another.
