Any pointers as to what kinda metals are good for forging swords, and where to find them? I doubt they have them in the train restaurant, y'know.

Iron or steel. Steel is better but both will work. As for what they'd have on the train... well, there's a lot that could probably be found on the train. If not on the train then we can look at our next destination.

Can you re-forge other objects? Also, what about the teaching part?

Some objects can be broken down and re-forged. Though I wouldn't recommend that if they're not durable enough. If you're willing to learn then I'm willing to teach you. Of course, I'll always have my own set of secrets that won't go out into the world.
