Hi everyone! Welcome to Eastbound, where nothing goes as planned, and the caravan-chasing bear is taking its sweet time making a cameo.

Su Xunxian will start out in the mines, summarily decide this is a dream so might as well die to wake up, then hear either mention of Moran or Moran's voice over the crystals and end up exploring JUST ON THE OFF CHANCE that he is there. He'll not be in a great shape by the time he gets to the city because a. underdressed, and b. he is really a rich spoiled boy who's not used to survivalist options.

Once in the House of Dew, well. That's more his game.

...blink thoughtfully, purposefully, repeatedly, then exit the awkwardness of this interaction in silence, because an attendant's life is not for master Lan. Never reward wretched manners.

Pets are sadly not allowed in Lan Wangji's native Cloud Recesses — a moment, for your single tear. — and he's not the best at doling out light-hearted names. 'Fluffy' is sadly not in the cards. Perhaps, 'That Which Sits beneath Lan Wangji's Boot'?

ANY EVENT PLANS SO FAR? Subterfuge isn't Wangji's forte, and he's not the most accustomed to... earning his keep through traditional means. This will have to change very quickly. But he's an excellent sword hand and decent at recon, so he'll scout the citadel as a first step, try to glean his any information on the Unhalad-Anurr dynamic and... might unfortunately not stay his hand if any patrolling undead get too close. How can this go wrong?

ANYTHING YOUR CHARACTER URGENTLY NEEDS FIGURED OUT IN SA-HARETH? N/A in a critical sense, but procuring additional fine silks and superior tofu can never go amiss. Please crowdfund his lifestyle. In exchange, he can... kill for you. In your name. Generally. He kills well. Amputates even better.

• After feeling great amounts of pity for it, ...Zandy. (he has a dog named Sandy at home. this one is undead/zombified. he's not terribly original.)

ANY EVENT PLANS SO FAR? El is going to be initially convinced that this world is The Void he literally just let his spirit be sent to at his pull-point- a dimension full of lost souls. But in general, he will be a quiet, yet helpful bean.

He's a decently talented smith, but the forges are guarded so while he'd be happy to make weapons for characters to defend themselves with, he'd need the materials and a sneaky plan to get the work done.

ANYTHING YOUR CHARACTER URGENTLY NEEDS FIGURED OUT IN SA-HARETH? Not pressingly so. Just some initial confusion and stress as everyone's going to deal with. He'll be a bit slow on the uptake on getting to work and likely run into translation trouble after the first necklace wears out.

Lee Chang looks at the impatient woman and frowns while he waits for the translation to creep through. Once it does, his brow furrows further, and he stands there with a slightly disdainful look on his face, replying in Korean: "Then I suggest that you find them, if what you need is servitude."

He does not name it. He looks for his sword instead. If someone manages to convince him not to behead the poor thing immediately, he will still not name it, and instead attempt to lose it.

ANY EVENT PLANS SO FAR? He will probably be doing his thing and collecting people in the jail who listen to him (pc or npc) to coordinate for escape and survival, especially once the jail break happens, he's going to make sure as many people get out as safely as possible. He will be in his mourning robes covered in blood, with a gaping wound at his shoulder, so... Up to you if you trust this guy.

ELEVATOR PITCH FOR YOUR CHARACTER: ~~Xie Lian beta tested~~ A washed-up rockstar cultivator who got wrapped up in some bad shit and then gave his eyes to his ~~boyfriend~~ good friend and now he's a blind single dad with two kids and still does fun zombie-hunting but also sleeps in a coffin at night. Don't worry about it, this is fine and normal.

Xingchen, clearly being not a worker at this establishment, what with being blind and more of a liability than anything, will be confused at the woman's insistence, but kindly offer to help her regardless. That could mean doing the service himself or finding someone else to do it, but boy does she sound mad about something. Let's not make things more upsetting than they have to be!

Assuming he doesn't kill this undead creature first and foremost, Xingchen could be found referring to it as Little Trouble.

ANY EVENT PLANS SO FAR?

In the brothel, he'll take up some of the workers on "chaperoning" sessions with historically troublesome patrons just to make sure they behave. Just imagine him sitting in a corner doing some basket weaving and listening to euphemistic poetry writing and not understanding it because his creativity does not extend far at all. Aside from that, if other workers see he has hard candy (just two pieces, he can't share those with everyone!) he'll take the little bit of money he earns as a chaperone to buy candy and thus make himself very popular. And still poor. This isn't a fiscally-sound adventure, but he's just too nice, this guy.

However, having emerged victorious(?) from the salt mines to begin with, he'll venture his way back there, magical zombie-seeking missile sword in hand, and gather some of the salt up for some money. Feel free to accompany a clearly FOOLISH BLIND MAN going on adventures by his lonesome.

Also I've been informed Mingyu's going to adopt him so this can only end well.

ELEVATOR PITCH FOR YOUR CHARACTER: Vapid socialite who just wanted to coast through life by being very beautiful and very tragic turns into Batman if Batman were really petty and evil because some very bad people kidnapped his boyfriend.

Mingyu takes command of the situation, all smiles and flattery. He asks about her day, compliments her hair, teases her with what school she goes to, surely she must still be in university? He can see she's terribly frustrated, he's here to listen. Once he's figured out what she wants, he'll do a quick assessment on how easy this task is to fulfill, make a cost-benefit analysis to him, and either make her happy or ruin her whole day, depending.

ANY EVENT PLANS SO FAR? He's starting a band with the other resident princes. No? Fine. Failing that, he's here to sass everyone who looks at him sideways, extort English speakers for his Chinese translation services, and browbeat spoiled brats into shape. I made a meme. He can also forcibly rip your past trauma out of you if he's trying to decide if you can be trusted, or gets bored for some reason.
ANYTHING YOUR CHARACTER URGENTLY NEEDS FIGURED OUT IN SA-HARETH? Not really. Fox has been missing for a while, is probably dead. He's going to work towards fixing that as a general goal, but the only urgency lies in the ongoing deterioration of his general willingness to continue existing. Which isn't immediate, so that's fine. He's just going to get on his hustle and wait for his morosexuality to inevitably bite him in the ass.

I used to be an Business English teacher before ye olde covid times. I am also a cat slave, and sometimes I stream on twitch with games and yell about Japanese swords.

ELEVATOR PITCH FOR YOUR CHARACTER: Basically, he's the Imperial regent of sorts for his country because the Emperor, his brother, was killed and he had to raise his nephew, who is only a few years younger than him, to take over. So now he's trying to goad said nephew to do that, with the added complication that he and nephew are in love with the same girl. Oh, and sometimes, he can see the future which can be useful..... or not.

ETA : Moran's power when it's back is having random visions of the future that are technically always correct, he just has no idea of when they might happen and very little context for them. If you want to ~~traumatize~~ help your character, feel free to hit me up to have Moran have visions of their canon future if you like. Please note, though, that Moran is usually a bit reluctant to mention future visions because of the aforementioned lack of context. But his forehead glows when they happen so he can't very well hide it.
ANYTHING YOUR CHARACTER URGENTLY NEEDS FIGURED OUT IN SA-HARETH? 'need' is a strong word, but Moran is perpetually curious and in need of intellectual stimulation. The language barrier will be frustrating for him, but he'd be eager to try and figure out the geography, history and political situation, so getting to a relatively good command of the local language would be sort of a priority for him.

Moran can recognize another royal when he sees one. Which absolutely does not mean instant trust because royals spend their whole life trying to off one another even between family members as Chang knows but at least gives a common starting point of sorts, plus there's a chance they can actually understand each other in the same language, even though Moran does not know what China is. let's do this jail break, your highness.

Moran does have a soft spot for hypercompetent kids who can be a bit slow on the uptake lol. He has one of those at home.

Please rip the trauma out of Moran at one point, Mingyu. but also let's be frenemies.
