Hello, hello — welcome to Spooktober! Our latest event has just gone up, and you’ll hopefully have 'fun' with it. It lasts between 23 October and 10 November, and you can tag into that post or make your own logs/posts. Back or forward date as much as you need.
Because this event is dragging into the start of November, next month’s plot rolls won’t be available until somewhere around the 11-13 November period.
Without further ado:
- ✘ Bait and anchor sign-ups in the Huntress chase
✘ Monster submissions
✘ Submitted monsters list
✘ Tower activation sign-ups
✘ General questions
Feel free to make your own plotting plan comments and tag around!

The beacon: nothing beyond mentions that it exists and hasn't been used in some time.
The Doxe: should Emilia reach the tower library, she'll find Bonaccorso's name heavily mentioned in their documents. He is listed as the patron of some of their fetes or travels. He has donated extensively to their research. If she delves into the annals of the order, she'll see the Attaryl accepted his sovereignty as Doxe and became his court witches when he assumed the position. They (grudgingly) agreed to cease their strife with the Bessis at his behest, setting out to make common ground with their once enemies and protect Taravast, following the downfall of Ellethia to the surge of undead.
They note that he is, unlike some of his predecessor, a cold-blooded but just man with a balanced temper — but an unfortunate tendency for sickness, which prevents him from taking advantage of the life-expanding techniques and sorcery that kept previous Doxe alive for centuries.
Spells/grimoires/potions: sure, on a variety of topics. Their traditional strength are levitation and mental magic (illusions, mental control, telepathy), transfers of souls/minds to different bodies, using the soul/mind as a source of magical power.
Prophecies: nothing fancy.
Hatisse and Lord Arha: yes, but not sure how likely Emilia would be to dig into this — Hatisse is mentioned in their records of instruction, marking she was specifically sent to apprentice at the court of Lord Arha, with orders to seduce him. The historical annals mention her achievements in that ask, as well as securing his help and his deployment to come assist the Attaryl in their war against the Bessis. The fall of Ellethia to the dead stopped internal strife between the witches' orders, with don Bonaccorso calling for peace and union against this common, undead foe.
As a sign of good will, the Attaryl agreed to have Hatisse tell Arha to turn back and give up his feud with the Bessis, who he was told were menacing the Attaryl (and, by extension, Hatisse) — he disagreed, wanting to 'free' his beloved. Left with no alternative, Hatisse did not open Taravast's gates to Arha as initially planned. This left him and his men vulnerable to the Besssis, who rained down fire from the citadel walls — much as they intend to right now, against the Beastmaster's creatures, should the towers be activated.
Hatisse later retired into a life of charity, asking and receiving permission to raise tombs for the fallen Arha and his men in the Stairs of Sighs.
