the imperious... imprints? impresses?

The Imperious and her delicious cargo are slowly creep-creeping their way to the icy port citadel of Sa-Hareth, leaving a narrow opportunity for the Archeval-led rescue mission of incoming captives .

To keep things tidy, everyone’s welcome to ask general event questions or specific test-drive meme ones, and to chatter about the fate of the Imperious. Remember: actions have consequences, and sinking the boat too close to the port could congest naval traffic for the foreseeable future.

Test-driving players: Eastbound’s so far survived on locust-style enthusiasm for out-of-the-box plotting, so don’t be afraid to pitch plots or ask tangential questions. The general guideline is that as long as you don’t break the sandbox, you don’t need mod permission, and you can check out the locations page if you need a map or general grasp of Sa-Hareth.

Hydrate & have fun, now with zombie mermaids!

Upper limbs like you lower limbs like us... or something. And yes, sharp teeth.

Are there NOT undead mermaids?

Oh no, the poor dears...

Anyway did the mermaids sense the mirror once it was on board, or did the mirror come from their realm... They seem pretty determined.

perfect <3

question 2 - how do the undead like direct sunlight.......??

At her current levels, with two amplifiers, she would need to light above the water but the rays would pierce the water like normal sunlight. So the closer she can get her light to the water, the more it would illuminate the surface levels.

Additionally, she has the Cut which can cut through a mountain, so could easily slice through the water (she'd only access this closer to being saved rather than early on in the voyage).

So what else is in the harbor vaguely near the Imperious? Any smaller boats anchored nearby? Or structures such as like, small wooden buildings, things along those lines?

(Trying to think of what items might be around that Arche could realistically Force-shove against the ship to start knocking it further out into the harbor.)

Pelting the deck with dead mermaids like the world's grossest catch, clearly the way to go here.

Thank you!

When the mirror on board the ship shatters, does this have any immediate effect on anyone enchanted by it/obsessed with it? Would there be an effect after the lapsed time? How are the mermaids, undead as they are, feeling about that mirror after shattering? (And if there's a difference in right then and in more time lapsing.)
weifinder: (oh? | my reason)

[personal profile] weifinder 2021-04-26 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, given the way it works on the captives, this is what I was guessing. Good!

Secondarily: in the process of fighting to control some of the undead mermaids against the mirror's thrall, would Wei Wuxian be able to figure out what he's wresting control away from/that the mermaids are thralled?

In case I just can't read and I missed it: How does the mirror get destroyed?

Fox and Archeval are on their way there and Fox would want to destroy it if it isn't already, if you want players to do it?

He'd also want to take a shard with him to see if he could at some point backwards-engineer / figure out what the original magic was on it?

[personal profile] pinkxeno 2021-05-03 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
coming in here late with starbucks

can mina take a shard of the mirror? Cand the shards do anything or will they just become powerless once the mirror has been broken?

[personal profile] pinkxeno 2021-05-03 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
this sure will not bite her in the ass in any way :D
she will be keeping a shard or two then! Thank you <:
