the vote for arc iii is now open...!
Howdy, folks — it’s that time again! Please vote out of character for our upcoming Arc III destination before 23 December (the deadline is 23:59 GMT on 22 December, to be exact). One vote per player, please. There will be a mini travel arc interlude ahead of Arc III.
If any of the Arc III creatures or activities in the blurbs below trigger anyone’s phobias or cause unease, please PM @ groundrules, and we can try to see about adjustments. We like to reserve horrors for characters.
The Arc I keyword was 'survival', Arc II contended with 'politics.' Both Arc III options deal with 'redemption / sacrifice.'
Otherwise, a brief reminder:
- ✘ Cast your vote for don Bonaccorso’s fate, if you haven’t!
✘ The aftermath post, including beacon action & a visit from our friendly bear, will go up on or by 23 December.
✘ The journey interlude should begin in the 1-4 January period (brief range to account for New Year’s)
✘ Apps close over 24 December-2 January.
To avoid a curse of plagues, a superstitious cluster of eerie villages must send regular human tributes to a barren temple haunted by ravens. Villagers ask help with stopping the practice without incurring tragedy, while the Merchant sees a chance to end a vital supply chain for the Brotherhood. SCOPE: territory exploration, investigating villages, some adventure, getting cursed pretty often. CREATURES: sinister ravens, FEATURING: the Beastmaster and another undead liege, prophecy. 'PERKS': Rural trip with occasional assigned “family” accommodations. MONEY MEMO: welcome to the possessed provinces, help a granny and grow vegetables. | To escape the literal reach of the dead, one creative contingent of the living has moved its dwellings to floating colony-cities skewered on long pillars. Nearby resources have been heavily depleted, and the people need help securing access to new supplies while the dead seek to penetrate their defences. SCOPE: a lot of infiltration and resource recuperation, reconnaissance, minor politics. CREATURES: dragons. With wings. Cloud whales. FEATURING: the near constant presence of an undead liege, some colony meddling. 'PERKS': Dragons. Some steampunk & flight elements. MONEY MEMO: it’ll do, piglets. No resplendent riches or rat jerky for you this time. |
