ELEVATOR PITCH FOR YOUR CHARACTER: Very short, very cranky rags-to-riches Space Indiana Jones who occasionally eats ghosts (it's uhhh less weird than it sounds... a little bit anyway). His day job is doing his best impression of an evil asshole and he almost certainly doesn't like you but would probably die for you anyway. While complaining about it the entire time.

ICE BREAKER ROUNDS:

i. Your character has been patiently queuing for the past hour, when someone with no extenuating circumstances cuts in. How do they react?
He was definitely not patiently queueing. If they didn't let him to the front of the line just by virtue of rank, he either sent some lackeys to queue for him, or else Force-encouraged everybody in front of him to let the nice boy (haha) just behind them head on through.

ii. What job would your character most majestically fail at?
Anything that requires him to pretend to be a people person for more than like five minutes at a stretch, which is extra hilarious considering he's in a leadership position back home -- thankfully the Sith Empire is generally willing to fall in line behind sufficiently intimidating assholes.

iii. What scent do you associate with your character?
Disinfectant and/or cleaning chemicals.

WHAT’S YOUR CHARACTER BEEN UP TO, SO FAR?
Mostly being a nuisance with a side of helping spearhead the recent effort to rescue slaves from the ship Imperious, his very unfortunate namesake, thus adding a few more characters to our merry gang. He will be trying to help grumpily orientate any new people who need it, since he's partly responsible for their being here. Other than that he's been contributing to party funds with a few offscreen odd jobs and small-time thefts, doing research on the local area and particularly its language, trying to catalog the full roster of our group and its skills partially at the Merchant's behest, and uhhh generally getting into trouble.

WHAT ARE YOU ITCHING TO HAVE YOUR CHARACTER DO IN SA-HARETH NEXT?
Once we're at the farm, if there's animals there I imagine he'll hang out with them, lol. I don't have a lot of solid plans for May-June, got a lot on my plate IRL, so I'll probably just be playing it by ear and enjoying deepening my CR with you fine folks. Anybody who wants to make friends or start shit with the Dark Lord is very welcome. This little jerk is great for antagonistic or frenemy CR if you enjoy that sort of thing. Or enemies-to-friends, really, as he is an asshole with a not-so-secret softy streak.

I don't know how these guys aren't already best friends. Five was briefly on that ship because teleporting is a thing, and he's at least recognized that Arche is capable of pulling something like that off, so-! That's noted. Because he stalks everyone.

I'm sure there's a reason they can talk in person during this fun farm adventure. He's curious, which is never good. And as a bonus, you can antagonize Five to your heart's content and be comforted that he deserves it.

Yessssss I'd love to get them physically in one place. Their brief little spat on the network was great, wall to wall misunderstandings and all... Honestly, between the two of them they could really pull off some shenanigans if they could get along for five minutes lol. Arche definitely finds Five intriguing, all the more for how low a profile he's tried to keep, though right now he's definitely still feeling pretty untrusting based on his impression of Five maybe not having the whole group's interests at heart. But I'm gonna try to bring him over to bother Vanya soon too, so I suppose either way Five will have to keep track of whoever's encroaching on the family :D

He just gets real sensitive about time travel, okay. How dare anyone have opinions(!!) Just prepare to be disappointed when a 13 year old shows up. His life is suffering.

It's totally a smart thing not to trust him, if someone told him he had to murder everyone to get his family back and go home... at most he might sleep on it. But everyone right now seems surprisingly capable, so he might have to get his ego checked. I'd love to explore all that with Arche. :>

And yes. He's going to be Very Aware of everyone who speaks to Vanya, so that could fast track any interaction. About to be a full-time job!

If Wuxian actually passed out then yeah he would next find himself waking up back at the House of Dew somewhere, carefully tucked in, tall glass of water at his side, and probably weirdly refreshed-feeling. I'm not sure if Arche as yet knows Wuxian and Wangji are close or anything, so alas he probably did not go seek out his Very Favorite Person™ to let him know to come by or anything like that.

Honestly it's even better if he didn't leave him near Wangji, so Wuxian waking up weirdly refreshed in a random part of the House of Dew is perfect and a great way for me to know what he walks into (aka who he knows is around, which is basically no one other than Alina) when he's up and walking again.

He'd come find Arche to say thank you! Since this is not how Wangji has, uh, left him to wake, less guqin and the water glass is a big tell (I'm laughing a bit here) plus also he'd have recognised the space, Wangji's pretty consistent as far as he knows. He'd also ask for confirmation of the direct aftermath of events as he passed out at that point when he could finally release control of the mermaids he'd been directing!

I am really enjoying their weird relationship maybe slowly becoming?? Friendship?? Unsure

But also he's going to be moping for a few days so come hang out and kill things with him

I feel like they could be friends! I want them to be friends!!! lol

Arche pretty much collects people who are like "this weird little asshole is all right I guess" and he's pretty chill with Lee Chang overall, especially now that they're getting the whole jealousy (?) thing behind them, so I think it could work out!

and the local Dark Lord is definitely the person you should go to if you would like to resentfully stick pointy objects in things to make yourself feel better. lol. Maybe we can try to finish up their hunting subthread (I think I probably owe you there? sorry it's been crazy, I'll get back to it if I do) and start up something new.
