a rundown would be amazing but even that helps. ended horribly seems to be the case around here, I'm not surprised.

all right let me do something a bit more in depth, adding in wifi notes for colour because it amuses me if she heard him but kept not finding him:

1. start of month! wen qing was rescued from the slaver ship along with the other pcs on it, and other slaves. she may have heard wifi playing flute at the time (he was controlling three undead mermaids to help lift anchor and work to get the ship out of port before it burned completely) but he passed out after, was brought back by our resident sith lord Archeval. not really relevant as a whole, but he would have been MIA after the rescue, recooperating.

2. all were brought back to the brothel that'd been hosting everyone from earlier; by the 9th, they heard from npc Haltham, who says he's found a place to relocate everyone, as there are now too many NPCs to hide in the brothel, and the unhalad forces are getting suspicious (they've been hunting around to find the escaped prisoners since the month prior, aka game opening).

3. trek an hour out of the citadel to a farmhouse in the woods. needs work done, but more importantly: on arrival, wolves. semi-possessed wolves! also people in the trees. the farm holding is fought for and cleared out. (wifi screamed. then got teleported to a farm roof for most this, thank you five.) there are turnips (did you miss them) growing in the indoor greenhouse, the heat for all this is maintained by people donating energy to the runes running it. woah! also working to secure the farmhouse better, as one does. 4. come nightfall the voices and pleading and luring by familiar voices and also the immediate need to murder rats. as you do, when they're large and SWARMING. following the voices/being enthralled by them leads to a late night walk through the woods and going into a lake and experiencing a memory, one of those stolen by the mirror on the now burned to a husk slaver ship. wei wuxian is sitting late night playing music, with talismans on the doors, trying to drive away what's out there. it has limited effectiveness, as in only limited to where he is, hence go out and be wild, everyone!

5. so while this goes on, early in the stay at the farm he learns that jiang cheng is there, and then wangji also belatedly tells him wen qing is there--he then proceeds to go running around like a loon trying to find her.

6. in that first week on the farm, the npc who led them there, Haltham, contacts them again to let them know ( https://lostcompass.dreamwidth.org/2749.html) what's going on at their fringes. oocly we were asked to vote, icly people weighed in ( https://eastbound.dreamwidth.org/6317.html) and at vote tallying, people acted (not sure this has been logged by anyone).

7. the npc kahrsa called everyone idiots after the pcs acted ( https://eastbound.dreamwidth.org/6400.html) and oocly we learned the consequences for pc actions (https://lostcompass.dreamwidth.org/3005.html). this is basically where we are at present, in this particular fallout!

okay she's definitely heard him playing, so she knows he's here (or else it's her imagination, which isn't that much of a stretch at this point), just keeps missing him as she looks for him. we will have to play with that!
