Hi, everyone! Two parts to today’s party:

JUNE JAZZ

Check out our latest plot roll & NPC thread options for June, for which you’ll receive full details on Wednesday, 22 June. You can sign up your characters for the quest of your choice until 18:00 GMT on 21 June.

■ We’ll need at least two characters signed up for a roll to carry it out. Quests that receive more than five sign-ups may need us to RNG a character who gets final call on any decision-making within the quest.

■ Try to be available to play things out with your quest-mates between 22 June – 5 July.

■ If you’re looking short on time in that period, it might be easier to offer support to characters who are leading a plot roll, without signing up.

■ Please share the information you get with the group at large through network posts.

As a heads-up for folks who’ve never done one of these — you may get offered follow-up quests, items or plot development because you helped out with a plot roll. You can always opt out of that.

THEIR ONE-SENTENCE ELEVATOR PITCH: star witch with a simmering temper seeks to avenge beloved twin sister and right some wrongs by way of conquering the underworld/its demon princes.
HOW THEY END A TERRIBLE DATE: no dates she goes from zero to summoning her enemy to a betrothal ceremony
THE (SPITEFUL?) THOUGHT THAT GETS THEM THROUGH THE DAY: getting home and granting her sister the peace she deserves

WHAT’S THE EASIEST WAY TO…
...IRRITATE THEM: attempts to exert authority over her and not liking cannolis, i am only kidding about the last one maybe
...EARN THEIR AFFECTION: appreciation for food, a sense of justice, straightforward answers
...SHOCK THEM: not much does anymore but show her a fully functioning beacon tbh

WHAT SHIP DO THEY MOSTLY HANG OUT ON? probably Quicksilver's: why are you so intent on this trip, buddy?

WHAT ARE THEY UP TO? in a general sense, Emilia is:
- trying to solve the mystery of who she really is and why she was cursed
- studying the activation of beacons so that she can learn to do it herself one day
- keeping track of intel she/the group gathers as they go along

- for the intermission/journey, she's been really frustrated with encountering yet another beacon that fizzled and hasn't been at her best (grace three remains an excellent companion), but i suspect the incoming events are going to be galvanizing.

CR/SCENARIOS YOU WANT: - other magic users she can swap information with. she has a lot of raw power, but she's been (purposefully) left untrained by her family and learning that cut deep.
- non-magic users for the culture shock? i like oddball pairings in general, just throwing noodles to the wall and seeing what sticks
- investigative types who might want to solve a mystery or two with her, she likes to keep busy and i like adventure-y stuff
- she doesn't open up easily, so people to move past surface level

Five will obvs continue to be in her orbit. Don't you hate it when someone knows your weaknesses and the only correct reaction is to be hyper defensive and rude? Kid needs help. Also he will try to chill because the fam likes her and she's in a relationship with his actual best friend. They definitely need that family dinner where he can offer relationship advice based on his very healthy marriage.

Also I need to throw Marcos at her again. He's always around to make tense situations a little more chill, and he's doing great now that they left the cursed village. He needs a moment to be in awe of her magic at some point.
