Hi, everyone! Two parts to today’s party:

JUNE JAZZ

Check out our latest plot roll & NPC thread options for June, for which you’ll receive full details on Wednesday, 22 June. You can sign up your characters for the quest of your choice until 18:00 GMT on 21 June.

■ We’ll need at least two characters signed up for a roll to carry it out. Quests that receive more than five sign-ups may need us to RNG a character who gets final call on any decision-making within the quest.

■ Try to be available to play things out with your quest-mates between 22 June – 5 July.

■ If you’re looking short on time in that period, it might be easier to offer support to characters who are leading a plot roll, without signing up.

■ Please share the information you get with the group at large through network posts.

As a heads-up for folks who’ve never done one of these — you may get offered follow-up quests, items or plot development because you helped out with a plot roll. You can always opt out of that.

PLOT ROLLS SIGN-UPS

Have your pick of one of the four plot rolls below, with more details forthcoming on 22 June. If you’re signing up, you should be available to play things out with your quest-mates between 22 June-5 July.

To sign up, respond to the respective plot roll comment with SIGN-UP in your header by 18:00 GMT on 21 June. If you want to participate, but would rather do so in a supporting capacity, just chat with folks who’ve signed up here, or when the full quest details are disclosed.

WHAT SHIP DO THEY MOSTLY HANG OUT ON? both. Kaneki has constant insomnia and now that he has been given a delightful fortune, he just wanders around both ships.

WHAT ARE THEY UP TO? Having very interesting talks with Caladan. he is also now eating the left overs of the undead that roamed through the ship during the TDM. Kaneki has also taken upon himself to cook because he is surprisingly an excellent cook. Also, due to insomnia and the fortune, kaneki usually passes out in the most random of places when his body just gives up and forces itself to shut down.

CR/SCENARIOS YOU WANT:
- Kaneki will be entertaining the crew by telling stories he has read, and even re-enacting some of them. Join him, join him. if you want to talk to him about books OH BOY OH BOY that's his favourite thing.
- If anyone wants to find out Kaneki sleeping/passed out in stupid places and positions (like doing the laundry), i'm all for it.
- Wanna meet a cannibal? Find Kaneki chewing on the bodies of the dead that he kept to eat during the journey. Delicious and disgusting. Possibly an health violation as well.
- Honestly, this guy needs friends. Actual friends. He is a goddamn mess.
- I don't know if it's possible, but at some stage I REALLY would love for Kaneki to lose his absolute shit. The problem is that if he does, he will attack people indiscriminately and he will need to be subdued which is also difficult. But yeah ONE DAY i will make kaneki lose his mind and it will be glorious.

WHAT ARE THEY UP TO? Dany's living her best life. One of the things in the book that shows up a bunch is Dany wishing that she could be a sailor. She loves being on ships and sailing. So this is the chance for Dany to live her dream. The crew on the Queen Zanyra seem to have adopted her dragon and view him as lucky, so she's hanging out with them and getting to know all of the men. She's digging for treasure and keeping an eye on Drogon, since he's the alarm system if there is danger.

CR/SCENARIOS YOU WANT: I don't have specifics. Just adventure. When things start going south, she wouldn't mind a partner to investigate or explore or fight side by side with.

WHAT ARE THEY UP TO? Frankly up until things got hinky he was working on sleeping his way through the willing crew so. He's also helping with tasks around and keeping limber and ready for the Fights, because that's about what he's good at offhand and he's trapped on ships and can't run away from these terrible odds, thanks everyone.

CR/SCENARIOS YOU WANT: I love Licyn making genuine friendships! Also since he does casual sex easily but is allergic to sex with feelings I'd also love anyone who wants a casual lay to end up being a friend and SUDDENLY WE'RE PURITANICAL HERE?! He's got emotional issues with loss and tries to keep himself from caring Too Much to not end up Aggrieved. It works great. (It doesn't.)

- trying to solve the mystery of who she really is and why she was cursed
- studying the activation of beacons so that she can learn to do it herself one day
- keeping track of intel she/the group gathers as they go along

- for the intermission/journey, she's been really frustrated with encountering yet another beacon that fizzled and hasn't been at her best (grace three remains an excellent companion), but i suspect the incoming events are going to be galvanizing.

CR/SCENARIOS YOU WANT: - other magic users she can swap information with. she has a lot of raw power, but she's been (purposefully) left untrained by her family and learning that cut deep.
- non-magic users for the culture shock? i like oddball pairings in general, just throwing noodles to the wall and seeing what sticks
- investigative types who might want to solve a mystery or two with her, she likes to keep busy and i like adventure-y stuff

...EARN THEIR AFFECTION: Be not a jackass, he likes people in general. THESE ANSWERS are very sad but there's no specific way, be kind of Lan Wangji and there's probably bonus points in there, praise Lan Sizhui and he'll smile.
...SHOCK THEM: He doesn't want to know what'll shock him but he'd LOVE to hear about Modern Science because he's an inventor and would find it all fascinating.

WHAT SHIP DO THEY MOSTLY HANG OUT ON? Whichever one Lan Wangji's on, really. For plotting purposes he's between them both.

WHAT ARE THEY UP TO? At this point getting a sense of the local undead/dead/spirits, which is where he'll focus for plot rolls too, he's got a tendency toward the dead if "necromancer bard" didn't already make that a good guess! He's also on hand to help people out or assist in sailing tasks, though he has a mostly not conscious old man he caretakes for with help from Anduin and anyone else he gets to lend a hand to feed him black water from the last arc.

CR/SCENARIOS YOU WANT: Wei Wuxian would love some mental challenges to work on, anyone who'd love to tinker with and develop means of resisting the Undead Lords more effectively, and also teenagers to be Big Bro or Dad-Joke-Caretaker at, he does miss the kids other than his adoptive son who've all disappeared through the gate most recently. He's also good for giving rundowns of things that've happened since the start of the game, and has a cloak-scholar spirit he can introduce people to if they're so inclined!

...IRRITATE THEM: Any reference to his child-situation, disagree with his math, make bad coffee, insult his siblings in a way he hasn't approved of, any talk about time travel, this list could go on.
...EARN THEIR AFFECTION: Be useful and find logical solutions, help his siblings in a significant way that he's not immediately suspicious of, make good coffee.
...SHOCK THEM: Usually happens when he finds out that he's not the only one familiar with age-regression. Still shocking.

WHAT SHIP DO THEY MOSTLY HANG OUT ON? He can teleport and he'll bop around wherever he pleases thanks, but whichever ship his siblings prefer is going to be his home base.

WHAT ARE THEY UP TO? Making new science friends and refocusing on time travel because that's always a great idea.

CR/SCENARIOS YOU WANT: People who want to supply him with alcohol after he's called a child (he's getting such a complex while zero-caring about it), science-types(!) who want to help him tinker and definitely be bossed around, murder situations that take a turn. The only thing is that Winnie's lack of a soul naturally repels animals and makes them either A. outright ignore her, or B. makes them incredibly wound up so they'd have to meet without the animals following him...somehow...

May be a demonstration of the concept that being a prophesied hero would actually kind of suck.
HOW THEY END A TERRIBLE DATE: It’s either gentle polite regret, nice meeting you etc, or it’s murder. Depends on the date and why it was terrible. Regardless of the scenario, he ends the night drinking alone.

WHAT SHIP DO THEY MOSTLY HANG OUT ON? The Pariah, but he can deffo hop to and fro, as needed.

WHAT ARE THEY UP TO? Babysitting himself. Hijikata has entrusted his swords to Kanesada, without knowing that Kanesada IS one of his swords, so now there are two Kanesada swords in various forms and there's an existential mindfuck in there somewhere. Otherwise I haven't made any concrete plans with him, so he's fair game for tomfoolery.

CR/SCENARIOS YOU WANT: I haven't really done much with him besides fight sad geriatrics with Lan Wangji, so he needs friends. Sword nerds are great. People who think he's hot and will tell him so are also great. Someone help him brush his hair, he has so much of it and his arms get tiiiiired. Listen to him whine about how awful sailing is, why can't they just be on the ground again, this suuuucks, why does he have to do chores, he's a sword, not a deckhand! Also give him a drinking buddy. Except he can't hold his liquor, so give him someone who will tuck his drunk ass into hammocky bed.
