CR MEME | JUNE PLOT ROLLS
Hi, everyone! Two parts to today’s party:
Check out our latest plot roll & NPC thread options for June, for which you’ll receive full details on Wednesday, 22 June. You can sign up your characters for the quest of your choice until 18:00 GMT on 21 June.
- ■ We’ll need at least two characters signed up for a roll to carry it out. Quests that receive more than five sign-ups may need us to RNG a character who gets final call on any decision-making within the quest.
■ Try to be available to play things out with your quest-mates between 22 June – 5 July.
■ If you’re looking short on time in that period, it might be easier to offer support to characters who are leading a plot roll, without signing up.
■ Please share the information you get with the group at large through network posts.
As a heads-up for folks who’ve never done one of these — you may get offered follow-up quests, items or plot development because you helped out with a plot roll. You can always opt out of that.

he leaves halfway through because he wanted to write down some important math and left his notebook in the lab. you get to pay.
THE (SPITEFUL?) THOUGHT THAT GETS THEM THROUGH THE DAY:
the universe has tried very, very hard to kill him, and hasn't succeeded yet

...IRRITATE THEM:
display a lack of intellectual curiosity and passive acceptance of the status quo. treat him as fragile or otherwise less than capable

idk just let him go on about his research and/or phds. he has so many, probably

use science??? for bad?????? murder a bunch of people for no reason I guess. display fantastic magical powers (but then he'll want to ask a lot of questions)

he is MOSTLY on the Pariah but could be convinced to go between
WHAT ARE THEY UP TO?
he likes boats as a concept but being on one is less fun. he got mouthy with the crew and spent some time in the brig. he's hanging out with his giant bird that they gave him because they don't trust him not to fall over/overboard. he's eating oranges even though scurvy is the least of his problems. if you're a woman/a sick person he's been in the private quarters with you. he coughs up blood when he thinks nobody is looking
CR/SCENARIOS YOU WANT:
✷ Science types. People who want to learn about science and/or can and will tolerate him going on about metaphysics. He is always ready and willing to jam with fellow nerds/engineers/tinkerers/etc.
✷ Along those lines, he can tinker stuff FOR YOU, and will probably want to make friends with people who can do things he can’t, like go out on dangerous adventures and acquire exciting resources.
✷ fellow members of the terminally ill club
✷ possibly he needs a medical intervention, or a magical one
✷ people to genuinely be friends with him and pull him out of his comfort zone, which is working until 4am and then falling asleep at his desk
✷ people to side-eye his general penchant for screwing around with unknown forces he does not understand and can’t control. it’s fine tho he knows what he’s doing
✷ people of OPPOSING PHILOSOPHIES—viktor is a pacificst/idealist and surprisingly empathetic, with lots of opinions about how the purpose of scientific advancement is to mitigate human suffering, as opposed to, like, building a super mega death rocket and killing a bunch of people. who’s up for some RATIONAL DEBATE

So as ornery as McCoy can be, he's v empathetic too, and shares Viktor's opinions on scientific advancement– and yknow, he comes from a universe where they largely use technology to make people's lives easier. He'll be in his corner!
