Hi, everyone! Two parts to today’s party:

JUNE JAZZ

Check out our latest plot roll & NPC thread options for June, for which you’ll receive full details on Wednesday, 22 June. You can sign up your characters for the quest of your choice until 18:00 GMT on 21 June.

■ We’ll need at least two characters signed up for a roll to carry it out. Quests that receive more than five sign-ups may need us to RNG a character who gets final call on any decision-making within the quest.

■ Try to be available to play things out with your quest-mates between 22 June – 5 July.

■ If you’re looking short on time in that period, it might be easier to offer support to characters who are leading a plot roll, without signing up.

■ Please share the information you get with the group at large through network posts.

As a heads-up for folks who’ve never done one of these — you may get offered follow-up quests, items or plot development because you helped out with a plot roll. You can always opt out of that.

WHAT’S THE EASIEST WAY TO…
...IRRITATE THEM: Criticizing people while doing absolutely nothing to help.
...EARN THEIR AFFECTION: Most likely compliment him and his looks. He's vain. But it doesn't hurt at all to be a kind, understanding person.
...SHOCK THEM: Any act of violence, evil or intolerance is likely to get some reaction out of him. He knows they're a thing, but he's not going to be unfazed by them.

WHAT SHIP DO THEY MOSTLY HANG OUT ON? Queen Zanyra, where all the other Treks are.

WHAT ARE THEY UP TO? Mending sails, sneaking around and looking where he shouldn't, breaking stubborn women out of jail and possibly getting himself in trouble for it. But then that's nothing new for him.

But no, first of all I want Jim to get friends. He's great at making friends so that'd be nice.
People to build some trust with, he'd love to know there's people he can rely on here, outside of Starfleet officers of course.
People who don't know about space travel so he can talk endlessly about it like a teenager in love.
Likewise, people who know stuff he's not familiar with, like magic and supernatural things, so they can tell/show him all about it.
Up for drinking buddies, sparring buddies??
Flirting's definitely on the table as well, it's Jim Kirk so. You know.

To be fair Jim's not as bad as he used to be, so there's an equal chance that he will be exasperated by anyone in his circle getting into trouble constantly as he is to be there to get into trouble with them. Either way though, I'm all here for it, whether he's rolling his eyes or getting locked up (or worse!!) right along with her.

i can offer up one flirty werewolf mercenary who can talk, reluctantly, about magic (he's not fond even if he is an inherently magical being (TM) unknown to himself really) and can talk very contentedly about being a shapeshifter

Being a shapeshifter will probably sound magical enough to Jim, or at least supernatural enough. He'll be very eager to see those demos, please show him all the cool stuff you can turn into and he'll ask a bunch of questions about it.

sadly he's a one trick pony of a shapeshift (just to wolf, think werewolf only no curses, no forced shifting, so... shapeshifter in one form??? hah) and he gets naked to demo since his clothes don't shift so

I am beside myself excited to see Kirk here, and all the Trek cast. Marcos I think is the better friendship fit for him (because the other option is Five aha). He's been a leader before in a much... less... flashy way with the Mutant Underground, but I think they'd come to eye to eye on a lot of things. Big into helping people and being a team player you know. Just a down to earth regular guy over here.

That said, Five was the one who broke Una out of the brig the first time, and he's already made a deal to elicit her engineering skills so it's pretty much a guarantee you're going to run into the little guy. I have no idea how that will go, but once he gets the association he'll probably have many questions. Tell him everything about space travel he will test your limit.

We sort of invaded the game in one go, huh. I mean, it's all Kerry's fault this time, she was the catalyst.

Anyway, I'm always interested in people Jim will agree with on things, or at least some things since he tends to be a very idealistic person with beliefs that might not be as realistic in most other worlds outside his own. But at least he's adaptable and understanding, or he tries to be!

Looking forward to him meeting Five as well, whether through space talks or other crazy shenanigans. I'm lowkey obsessed with that show so I'm excited to get to have some CR with anyone from the cast!!
