Hi, everyone! Two parts to today’s party:

JUNE JAZZ

Check out our latest plot roll & NPC thread options for June, for which you’ll receive full details on Wednesday, 22 June. You can sign up your characters for the quest of your choice until 18:00 GMT on 21 June.

■ We’ll need at least two characters signed up for a roll to carry it out. Quests that receive more than five sign-ups may need us to RNG a character who gets final call on any decision-making within the quest.

■ Try to be available to play things out with your quest-mates between 22 June – 5 July.

■ If you’re looking short on time in that period, it might be easier to offer support to characters who are leading a plot roll, without signing up.

■ Please share the information you get with the group at large through network posts.

As a heads-up for folks who’ve never done one of these — you may get offered follow-up quests, items or plot development because you helped out with a plot roll. You can always opt out of that.

guess what five, Moran actually likes you.

Five would be surprised to hear! Moran is too smart and has too much dirt on him, so he's still going to be keeping an eye.

But in general, he appreciates how he's morally rational and he's been weirdly understanding of his little mishaps. Just come at him the next time you want to rob someone, it'll be like old times.

Listen, you trying to kill him and him liking you are two different things that he is smart enough to know not to conflate. If he took murder attempts personally he'd never stop.

He's trying very hard not to uncle you because he knows you're older than him but you're making it hard.

In Five's defense, he is older, but he is in a body full of teenage hormones and he has severely stunted social skills on account of being alone from age 13-50-something. And he has a super-mild case of insanity that's barely worth considering, but the point is there may be a tiny chance that he doesn't always make the best choices or know what he's doing.

You'll never hear that from him, but he's at least doing a little better about not doing everything himself. Baby steps.

so what I'm hearing is 'please Moran do Uncle him because he actually needs a parental figure who is not a fuckup in some way and you are a surprisingly wholesome if strict one'.

If he wants to Uncle a stubborn old man who definitely won't make it easy on him, you know... he'll just have to be sneaky about it. Invite him over for drinks and see what happens. The guy doesn't really know how to be a person, so far be it for me to say he doesn't need help.

If you asked him, he'd be the parental figure in that equation, so just don't ask him.

He's been called worse, but wow! He can't prove that he's actually an old man but he thought you were smart enough to take his word for it.

Oh he believes you, it's just that the entire Beitang clan is made up of little shits, and he is one too.
