PLOT ROLLS | JUNE
Hello, hello! The latest plot rolls are now live, linked below. They cover events between 22 June and 5 July.
As a reminder: everyone can participate, even if you didn't sign up. The recommendation is to choose one plot roll, to avoid getting overwhelmed — but no one's the boss of you.
You can make your own network posts, or play things out in the logs linked below.
NPC threads have been allocated, but threads will go up within the next few hours — you'll receive a relevant link at the time.
Feel free to use this post for all your plotting needs.
- ■ THE SUNKEN | LOG | Questions | Plotting
■ THE DISSENT | LOG | Questions | Plotting
■ THE CONCORD | LOG | Questions | Plotting
■ THE PRIESTS | LOG | Questions | Plotting
While much of the events overlap in terms of timeline, loosely you are looking at: the Sunken (towards the edges of the Crossing), the Concord, then the Priests (as the ships deepen their journey into the Crossing). The Dissent takes place more broadly throughout.
QUESTIONS
We don't talk about Bruno's dead things.

While appeasing spirits and the like, and all the things the priests are doing, are there ways for Wei Wuxian to go around and try to preventatively ward not against what spirits are around right now... but talismans aimed at restricting or rebuffing or slowing down bodied dead, lmf. All this heart of the Crossing and such, anything he can do to slow down physical vessels seems like a good idea, and because of the ease of moving around and being spirit laden and super-sensing all those spirits with the amulet on top of his usual skills, he'd want to also be forward looking beyond the cloudy sky moment they're navigating.

Sure, if they're in his repertoire. They can't be guaranteed 100% success, but you can set them down.
Sorry, I'm not sure if you have a second question, or you're just thinking aloud re: what Wei Wuxian is interested in doing in the last bit. Let me know if you have further questions.

Thank you!

I can give you specific questions if they would answer anything?
Also: is there any real magic in their ritual? For those who would be able to sense that as they are carrying it out?

1. The priests aren't typical pirate crew, and they're more susceptible generally to land habits and social graces. As long as you treat them decently, they should be okay to acquaint. You can glean a little more detail about their role on the ship from our previous log, but to sum up: it's open knowledge aboard the Pariah that they've been paid aboard by Quicksilver Sam to protect the shop from supernatural forces.
2. Yes, they use some magic in their rituals!
