Sound the drums, head on to war — seized citadel Alem has already been there for the lion's share of a year.

Under the Scavengers' guidance, the four sand worms the party captured gently graze underground corridors allowing the group to reach halfway up Mount Attevar. From there, they quickly infiltrate Alem through a bustling trade route.

Young King Deimar strikes a simple bargain: serve Alem in its bitter last days until inevitable downfall, and the citadel will grant access to its Beacon before the final evacuation is completed.

Sounds simple enough. Now, survive it.

Characters arrive today, with our first proper taste of event chaos due on 27-28 January. Get your character settled in, check out the setting and their assignment, and strike some CR:

This is an incredible account choice.

You can't have Galatea, because everyone wants her apparently, but you can have Vataz and some anonymous paladin NPCs.

This sounds wonderful (for him) (and his partners, he's at least a good lay, may you be happy before you possibly die Vataz and random paladin NPCs), thank you! I'm going to just. Be amused at this, thank you. Especially since anytime I have had him bounce off NPCs and hit on them they've all been "I don't swing for that team" finally, I didn't thread with anyone, and he got a hit!!!

This because I'm belatedly remembering: so with the dragon scales from Serthica, detecting dead energies, when one is in the Wards or the Guts Bind would they find any unexpected pockets/instances of dead...ness... feelings, outside of the already felt shifts of More Alive/More Dead that the Guts undergo?

So, this isn't a case of death hiding and finally showing up, it's deathliness spiking — think of it like smoke, and necromancers being the fire alarm in this case. Sometimes the hell gate cracks a little more open, smoke up, MEOOWWWWWWOWWWWWOWWWW. Or sometimes the hell gate is contained by whatever these good folks are doing down there, and the necromancers can feel less death around.

I really loved Clara and Allison's chat. Clara's a negotiator for supplies, so we could definitely do something with that if you that sounds like something you'd be interested in! And I'm always good with quieter chats if you want :D

Will definitely need something with them, though Clara is a negotiator so I'm not sure if they'd run into each other. Aftermath stuff though, or shenanigans with Clara trying to get supplies for others before the dragon maybe? I'm 100% unsure if they'll be able to cross paths but basically, Clara and Red anytime please!

I would really love some CR with Jon! He doesn't have to do a lot of talking, she's good at that. In between her negotiating for supplies or something, maybe she grabs something for him? Or he asks her to get something? Or she just tosses something at him and is like 'you look like you need this.'

Or we can wait and do something that makes more sense later, but essentially, I love Jon Snow and I feel like Clara could get along with him :3

Hi, yes, actually I would like both if it happens? We could always do a network thing or inbox thing with Five if they wouldn't cross paths in the Seige. Clara is so chuffed she comes across as the most sensible, lmao.

Clara getting supplies could get her into trouble, negotiating the wrong thing or haggling a little too aggressively. Maybe she catches his eye when a deal is about to go bad and he swoops in? I'm definitely down for some hero action.

No clue if Kahl would run into Clara in her role as a negotiator, but she needs to get maps to people, so maybe there's something we could do with that?

SO, this could be a time for her over-confidence to shine; perhaps her negotiating skills are rustier than she thought, maybe she says the wrong thing and someone gets a little aggressive? Or an NPC tries to take a map she's procured and a tussle ensues? Or they just find a place to be cute at each other.

No clue if this is the opportunity for it or not, BUT, this two need some CR, and Clara would be a great adult mentor type, I think!

Jimmy McGill! Hi hello, one of your bodyguards reporting in for duty! The Doctor here will be an absolute disaster of a bodyguard probably, but look, he's gonna try very sincerely. Not for lack of wanting to protect him, trust me! He's a Time Lord/alien so I'm sure they can have rousing conversation; his body can sustain some damage way better than a human body so he's got you covered, Jimmy, he'll take all the blows. Just...good luck keeping him from getting distracted! He's constantly sticking his nose everywhere it doesn't belong (literally and figuratively, this guy is an alien weirdo and feel free to tell him often).

He would try to insist that Jimmy stay put somewhere for his safety and his own good, but they'd actually probably be a good team up because the Doctor is all about being clever/scheming/manipulating for the greater good and trying to help everyone. They can investigate and whatnot maybe? At least if they're stuck together, he'll be better able to keep an eye on him so it all works out.

Also please do throw a bodyguard party with some cake (or stale crackers, whatever they've got)! He'd probably try to insist on being the public-facing bodyguard because he's a social butterfly, but he can also do weird shadow lurking, too.
