Hypothetically, if you finds yourself more comfortable with a life of crime - which the people back home don't really know you to be capable of, because you're usually such a stickler for the rules - and you don't feel bad about it (because again people back home will never know), it's not a bad thing. Right?

Rules are just a means of control. It's not a bad thing to be uncontrollable.

To be fair I was asking more from the point of view of morality than anything, I'm fairly sure my friends would think it's funny.

I've mostly resorted to books that weren't being read, and a merchant's collectibles one time.

Going for the books is smart.

Right?! They weren't even reading them! Some sort of bizarre superstition, but they have proven useful to gain an understanding of this place and its history.
