Hi folks! You can find the October activity check (AC) and admin below:

OCTOBER ACTIVITY CHECK

AC is done in-house, and you do not need to do anything unless your character is listed below. Please try to use character tags for posts and logs you tag into — it helps track your activity.

Regular activity requirements are one of the following during the AC month:

■ a network post
■ OR 10 text/network-style comments across at most two threads
■ OR five log comments across at most two threads

Activity can be carried out on either the game communities or character inboxes.

Comment here or PM @ groundrules until 5 October if you want to reclaim your character, or if they have September activity that was missed! In an effort to tighten up on AC requirements a bit, this is the last month when characters with two consecutive strikes can be reclaimed.

OTHER ADMIN

■ Our resident Eleven player has put up a COMMUNAL DRAGON RESCUE LOG, if you want to party and play out the beast smuggling until 8-9 October. Thank you!

■ A CR meme will go up tomorrow. Also, if you folks ever want to post OOC memes, floor’s all yours too.

■ The October calendar has been updated — it’s leaner until October to give everyone a chance to unwind from the bustle and pursue their own plots for a change.

■ Do you guys want a scary/horror event to mark the end of October, or are we good with the current creepy levels? DROP YOUR VOTE HERE over the next week.

You can never give the witches full independence from the immense pain. So in that sense, you're negotiating autonomy at the very substantial expense of constant pain.


The trouble with asking the witches anything is that they're very much in a haze of 'kill' and 'owwww.' So you're asking a complicated question, relative to their animal level of understanding.

Yeah, which does make sense. Also it's like 2am here I'm going "you can do your own thing in HORRENDOUS PAIN AT ALL TIMES" what a great plan. It'd be less freeing from pain, more from. Control. Which doesn't help when they're. Trying to bathe in blood to address the HORRENDOUS CONSTANT PAIN.

Looks to Wangji with all this and gestures expansively. Do you see this. I'm not guessing they're getting extensive time to see if lessening the Ow factor and having the Kill Bessis factor be less immediately pressing will do anything to help with clarity from the witches, as in: they'll still be fairly at that animal level of understanding for a while, possibly forever? (Not sure on this last one, if time makes any difference.)

I like how this is basically what he's going to be telling Wangji with a sigh and his concerns about how the undead are used, and it's the expectation of this world, to the point that simply cutting them fully loose to not be used at all was more shocking to Karsa than the idea of selecting who deserves to hold their leashes.
