PLOT ROLLS | JUNE
Hello, hello! The latest plot rolls are now live, linked below. They cover events between 22 June and 5 July.
As a reminder: everyone can participate, even if you didn't sign up. The recommendation is to choose one plot roll, to avoid getting overwhelmed — but no one's the boss of you.
You can make your own network posts, or play things out in the logs linked below.
NPC threads have been allocated, but threads will go up within the next few hours — you'll receive a relevant link at the time.
Feel free to use this post for all your plotting needs.

■ THE DISSENT | LOG | Questions | Plotting
■ THE CONCORD | LOG | Questions | Plotting
■ THE PRIESTS | LOG | Questions | Plotting
While much of the events overlap in terms of timeline, loosely you are looking at: the Sunken (towards the edges of the Crossing), the Concord, then the Priests (as the ships deepen their journey into the Crossing). The Dissent takes place more broadly throughout.

Jim also has a magical miniature lifeboat in a bottle that will turn into a real-sized lifeboat if he breaks it, so it's a nice back-up plan if they can't get on that boat or if it's sunk by the Concord.
He'll also openly take suggestions on what to tell Hawk, and what to ask him if he gets the chance.

As far as an escape route, Licyn is prepped and ready to thrown down to get them off as soon as possible, because being trapped on a ship that's even less friendly to them than their drug-addled Queen or obsession driven Pariah is a bad plan. He is, in fact, very good at the running away part.
He also suggests they take their boat and the other boat, largely to cut off small vessel pursuit. RUN AWAY EFFECTIVELY, thank you all.

Also here for the miniature lifeboat, that's too fun not to use. Marcos has his flashlight hands, so he's got you for seeing your way out.

Good news: Marcos got a little bit of backstory about how long this deal with Captain Vane was going on and what their beef is.
Bad news: He may have opened them up to a deal to provide them Vane for safe passage while he was fishing for what they wanted.
Okay news: He doesn't think they want to kill Vane?
So that should be fine. Zero percent stressed about it.

But yes! Happy to thread out this development at any point, he's very sorry for this first impression. Faking his death is never off the table, it's gotten him out of jams before.

Yes good I need this too. He'll probably only tell Jim because that's very 'get you hanged' kind of talk, then go "good luck talking to the captain"?? or he can tell him afterwards, depending on how much you think it would impact his thread with him.
He was trying to help, honestly.

So far I don't think this knowledge would've influenced his talk with the captain, but we can leave it for after, sure! either way it's not like his chat with the captain is going GREAT, he's starting to think they were purposefully set up for failure with those gifts, sobs.

JUST MAYBE maybe it was a set up and you shouldn't send people you've known for days on diplomatic missions. But it's fine, they can fix this. Until they get chased off the ship, but you know, there's a tiny window where it might look like they can fix this.

Meanwhile Hawk might be offering passage onto his ship for the refugees. But also Jim's just told him how many there are and that there are women among them sssssoooo who knows how he might take that.

Excellent. I'll get something going on the side to have this very calm talk in a bit.
