PLOT ROLLS | JUNE

Hello, hello! The latest plot rolls are now live, linked below. They cover events between 22 June and 5 July.

As a reminder: everyone can participate, even if you didn't sign up. The recommendation is to choose one plot roll, to avoid getting overwhelmed — but no one's the boss of you.

You can make your own network posts, or play things out in the logs linked below.

NPC threads have been allocated, but threads will go up within the next few hours — you'll receive a relevant link at the time.

Feel free to use this post for all your plotting needs.

THE SUNKEN | LOG | Questions | Plotting

THE DISSENT | LOG | Questions | Plotting

THE CONCORD | LOG | Questions | Plotting

THE PRIESTS | LOG | Questions | Plotting

While much of the events overlap in terms of timeline, loosely you are looking at: the Sunken (towards the edges of the Crossing), the Concord, then the Priests (as the ships deepen their journey into the Crossing). The Dissent takes place more broadly throughout.

PLOTTING SUGGESTIONS

Does your character have an idea on how else they could deal with this situation? Any wild plans they would suggest? Comment here and others can weigh in with more thoughts and/or a +1!
northerndragon: this is jon. he fights real good and we're proud of him. (right proper lad.)

That IC suggestion would be my OOC one as well: contact the Merchant and/or Karsa and try to get a read on how they feel about Hawk.

TMK (and Jon’s), they set up this situation with Quicksilver Sam, and the Merchant was pretty angry in the past about 1. People’s failure to follow his instructions in Taravast related to killing Rigarda, and 2. People choosing to euthanize the sleepers in the lighthouse at Ellethia, who were people he regarded as friends. (He had issued no specific instructions, but was like “did you need to be told not to MURDER people?”)

The gang selling out another of his… friends?… might not go over well. It could make the collective situation worse… or it could improve it. Either way, seeking more info about Hawk’s organization, and exactly how much this would piss off the guy who’s been making travel arrangements, might help.

BUT IS IT THE ONE WHERE 3 PEOPLE ICED HIS PALS OR THE ONE WHERE WE COLLECTIVELY GOT RID OF THE BEASTMASTER THO.

this is concerning

Xie Lian honestly would like to see and investigate that fragment and object (he's basically a supernatural detective now, sue him), but he's very against giving people away or killing them if another way is possible.

Find the object and keep it as leverage for bargaining, maybe?

una's here to cause chaos and is talking to jim about commandeering one of the ships
perhaps they could get the coordinates and the fragment to try and get the item themselves?
but also definitely get out of pirate hell

Spock supports this whole borrowing-with-no-intent-of-returning a ship thing.

/slides in, so late,

technically yes but idk if it can fit everyone or if it's suited for the remainder of the journey
bravelyrunsaway: (quiet; you sonnuva)

nah but it is a great second place to keep under their control so there's a ship that isn't only under outside control!!!

that's licyn's pov at least
weifinder: (laidback | that i can't fight)

Damage control scenario is what Wei Wuxian imagines, since this confirms what he'd been suspecting and what is a terrible plan all around: because the treasure, if the shard responds to or calls on it, is likely the rest of a mirror, and that's not something he wants the trading company to have, either. In fact let's lose the mirror shard down the seawell, can we? Keep everything broken but not in anyone's hands.

As far as handling the Concord's captain himself, Wei Wuxian would say be honest: they aren't sailors. They can't handle a ship on their own or take over this mission, and the sailors of the two pirate ships aren't going to trust them; they trust their captains. He'd advise that they continue with the original plan, and if Concord wants to be escort, keep itself friendly in the process, or wait outside of dead waters.

Anduin is almost 100% sure that this is a fragment of a mirror with the mirror itself down below, and based on past experience it's likely NOT a good thing to let the two reunite. Especially not when this has something to do with the fact that the dead say that the thing at the bottom of the sea (the mirror?) is holding them there. Any sort of mirror with a connection to the dead sounds like BAD NEWS

It sounds like this is a mirror that could maybe raise the dead? Or at least it has power over the dead. He agrees that they should get rid of it, but it wouldn't hurt to go one step further and destroy it completely, if possible. Who knows who else's hands it might fall into next, if they just toss it into the sea...
