Sound the drums, head on to war — seized citadel Alem has already been there for the lion's share of a year.

Under the Scavengers' guidance, the four sand worms the party captured gently graze underground corridors allowing the group to reach halfway up Mount Attevar. From there, they quickly infiltrate Alem through a bustling trade route.

Young King Deimar strikes a simple bargain: serve Alem in its bitter last days until inevitable downfall, and the citadel will grant access to its Beacon before the final evacuation is completed.

Sounds simple enough. Now, survive it.

Characters arrive today, with our first proper taste of event chaos due on 27-28 January. Get your character settled in, check out the setting and their assignment, and strike some CR:

I vaguely remember Bismarck! Everything is a primal in FFXIV is what I remember most.

As to magic: most things Wrathion enchants can be used regardless of magical ability. Warriors whose main attack is 'spin really fast with a sword' and stuff can use magical trinkets. Theoretically, thus, everything he makes is just... raw magic wound into a spell you can activate.

... His answer is usually gems because why not stick gems in everything you own. Consider: bling.

Wrathion you are now one of Stephanivien's favoritest people. He will love a wonderful puzzle to solve in the form of 'so can I get enchanted objects to be electricity generators and also summon giant drill bullets if I want them to'.

Ideally, all the gems glow a hideous array of colours. You shoot the harpoon and the spells activate spectral wings that 'help carry' the projectile as it launches for no reason other than it looks cool.

I mean... I'm not convinced that isn't half what most of this nonsense is about anyways, so honestly excellent company.

They can say its... for added efficiency in blinding the enemy. All operators get special shades, for safety and OSHA guidelines

Hello! Do you want to have them meet in the Keep first, maybe? Maybe they can try to talk down a fight going on before any 'shallow stabbing' happens or something? Wrathion can be bemused by how this elf cut off his eyebrows.
