ALEM

Sound the drums, head on to war — seized citadel Alem has already been there for the lion's share of a year.

Under the Scavengers' guidance, the four sand worms the party captured gently graze underground corridors allowing the group to reach halfway up Mount Attevar. From there, they quickly infiltrate Alem through a bustling trade route.

Young King Deimar strikes a simple bargain: serve Alem in its bitter last days until inevitable downfall, and the citadel will grant access to its Beacon before the final evacuation is completed.

Sounds simple enough. Now, survive it.

Characters arrive today, with our first proper taste of event chaos due on 27-28 January. Get your character settled in, check out the setting and their assignment, and strike some CR:

look each time they've tried we've been very proud of ourselves for having the situation cockblock them and they continue to suffer for their bad timing choices, story of their lives /solemn

Yeah, Wen Ning gets so much... more horrible, and he even has added backstory of! Having part of his soul taken away as a kiddo by the Fairy of the Mountain Statue because now that's a Dafan Mountain Wen thing, so the reason he's easier for resentful energies/spirits to invade is because he literally... doesn't have an intact soul. Which means he can't reincarnate even if he lived a not-possessed life? It's ??? why do we make Wen Ning suffer more

Nie Mingjue is fantastic and we should all nod our appreciation to him! It's a fun watch, pretty much a great way to take it is a fun adaptation that has some nonsense moments that are pure easter egg, and it's reworked to fit censorship needs while still getting quite a bit in there you'd be surprised by, perhaps! but yeah it's a long go, and at least half the series is in the "past" which is a bit awkwardly framed as a flashback starting in the first ep/two episodes... and ending around ep 30 of 52? exact numbers flee me right now

BUT YES it did help i watched with a friend so we could comment at each other the whole time, soblaughs
