spellsandcharmsOne very short, quick, incredibly late introduction. I almost didn't post, but then I thought maybe I'd better just for the sake of linking her permissions/opt-out, which is mostly relevant for witches, vampires, or demons.
In any case, this is Ashley, resident River Song, introducing my second character, Sarah Bishop from the All Souls Trilogy. I'm using her television face because she was well-cast, but I am using book canon. Really, the most significant differences are that she's less background scenery in the novels and, well, the third season does veer off course quite a bit where she's concerned. There's also a whole 4th novel she's in called Time's Convert, and I've taken her from after that!
But the short pitch is that Sarah is the witchy lesbian aunt you didn't know you needed. She's very earthy. She's a witch, so she dresses for comfort, not style. She has a temper, says what's on her mind, smokes when she's anxious, shouts when she's anxious, shouts when she isn't anxious. She's a little abrasive, but she's actually deeply caring and very loyal once you've earned her trust (though, that isn't always easy). Her skill is in more traditional witchcraft, spoken spells, charms, potions. She's very knowledgeable when it comes to plants, and is most strongly aligned with Earth. She's particularly good at healing.
